Strictly a 2nd hand rumor that I've heard a few weeks ago from what I'd consider a reliable source, but as it was second hand when they got it, you never know, but...; early on trade deadline day Boston wanted a Flames roster player and offered a decent package that Feaster would've snapped up...but then the Bruins strung things out for a couple hours, and then pulled it off the table, wasting Feaster's time and resources, Chiarelli never with the intention of following through.

I thought he was playing quite well overall, just having trouble finding an offensive connection with his line mates. But unlike Iginla he has been putting a consistent effort in every game, and hasn't been pretty much invisible during long stretches at times.

Actually wan't Jagr leading the playoff for shots on net or something like that. He's actually generated a fair bit of offense but just hasn't got the bounces. I'm not comparing him to Iginla just stating that he has played better than his stats would indicate.

If true that's pretty childish.

At least they don't riot like Canucks and Habs fans, but these are unquestionably two of the four least likable fanbases in hockey. I was in Pittsburgh for game 1 and was embarrassed to be cheering for the Penguins when they were booing some of those calls. They do put less opposing fans into comas than Bruins fans, though, so I still give Pittsburgh fans the slight edge.

Interesting, there was rampant speculation the Bruins might try to get Glencross if I remember correctly.
Would've had to be a big package.

They made it out of the first round for the first time in a few years but yet another epic meltdown. Unless this series does a complete 180 in Boston there will likely be casualties in Pittsburgh.

If I was coaching, I'd tell the boys to go out and shut Boston down a period at a time, don't even worry about scoring. If I'm Boston, I don't say much of anything their system is working flawlessly.

Wow all the stars on the Penguins were pretty much invisible tonight. I don't think I even heard Sid or Malkin's names after the first period.

I didn't notice it as much in the third as the second but Crosby is trying to do too much on his own and as a result it's having a pretty negative impact. Long shifts, forcing passes, taking on 3 guys at once. And Bylsma is letting him do it

I like how jaromes linemate gets turnbuckled in the 3rd and he skates off to the bench. What leadership.
