Iggy should have taken Door #1 instead of Door #2 but then again hindsight is 20/20

Morrow also chose Pittsburgh over Boston. Dallas presented him with two options, nearly idential packages from their perspective, him and his agent talked it over, chose Pittsburgh.

Pens in 4 straight.

And now Igina is on the 4th line despite arguably being the Penguins best player tonight. I guess Bylsma would rather go down with his guys than give his team a chance to win.

That's justice. He held the Flames hostage and wanted to ride coattails on a stacked team instead of being a difference maker for Boston.....all after he initially agreed to waive and go there, wasting Flames and Bruins' management's time.
Don't wish any ill on the man after all he's done for the Flames, but this is sort of nice to see.

Have you actually watched the games by chance? Jagr has been the better player these playoffs. Points aren't everything. Stick a brick in the slot and it could put up points playing for Pittsburgh.

That is garbage. Iginla did not hold the team hostage. Pure BS.
They let him have a say and he chose Pitts. Deal with it.

Haven't mentioned it once before. Must be thinking of someone else. Seeing how upset you are getting as this series unfolds is rather amusing though.

How do you figure? They needed Iginla to waive his NTC and he wouldn't do it for any team other than Pittsburgh. They had to let him have his say.

agree. I don't wish any illl will against the beloved Iggy but not any succes so long as he plays vs the Bruins.
We could have had Barkowski who has been great for the Bruins as a rookie and that Russian stud center can't remember his name but he was the Bruins #1 forward prospect. #2 overall amongst all positions in their system.

Aaron Ward @aaronward_nhl 2m Malkin,Letang,Neal,Crosby,Martin,Iginla..are a combined -21 vs #Bruins after only 2 games in this series and have yet to register a point.
Not even sure if there is an explanation for this

Yup. As soon as he found out that the deals were fairly similar from Bos and Pitt, he made his choice.
Wisebrod and Feaster with egg on their faces for assuming that their preferred deal with Boston was done.
From what I've heard as a rumor, Boston's already "gotten" Feaster back for that gaffe.

Iginla earned a no trade clause and he used that to pick the team that he would play for. He said he'd agree to a trade to one of four teams, and he did, but he never gave up the right to pick which of those four teams he'd accept a trade to if more than one made acceptable offers. Two teams made acceptable offers, and he decided that he'd rather play for Pittsburgh. I don't see how anyone can blame him for that unless they were looking for an excuse to blame him for something from the start.

So basically Iginla is the bad guy for utilizing his no move clause? You know he could have outright refused to leave right? Some pretty disgusting posts here

And who handed out that NTC? Iginla did what he thought was best for Iginla, good for him. After the Flames management basically said they were not finished milking their cash cow, that's when I had zero issues with Iginla holding the teams feet to the fire.

Dupuis has been squishy soft garbage against Boston yet he still won't put Iggy with Sid.
