No kidding, usually I record it and the wife and I watch Monday after the kids are in bed. But for this upcoming episode I'm watching it live with a few forums open on the ipad to threads following the show for tv viewers only, I can't wait!

Bad timing for me to leave for a business trip Sunday evening - I won't be able to watch until Tuesday night. Maybe I'll still poke my head into forums to watch the reactions for laughs though.

All signs point to "Yes". Episode is called "Rains of Castamere" after all.

Question is whether fans of the TV series will have become as invested in Rob and his northmen as the book readers were. They freaked out about Ned Stark because he was the biggest star in season 1 and the story revolved around him. But with so many other storylines now I don't think we'll see as big of an uproar over Rob getting axed

Personally I'll be saddened most by his wife having zero role to play over Rob's death itself

At about 9:49 p.m. ET, the show’s Twitter fandom exploded. Perhaps the best compliment to the scene’s effectiveness was that there wasn’t much initially tweeted that was very coherent. There was a lot of all-caps agony and wailing.

I've been waiting patiently for years for that moment and it didn't disappoint. In a way it wasn't quite a shocking as the books, but it still had tremendous impact even knowing it was coming. I was worried they'd telegraphed the outcome a little too much in previous episodes. I would have preferred the original "Jaime Lannister sends his regards", but that's a small quibble.

Noq off to read twitter for a few hours.

Wow, people are really taking this hard: https://twitter.com/redweddingtears
Didn't we learn anything from Ned Stark in season 1? Lawful stupid gets you killed.

I think it completely loses a bunch of the good will Jaime has built up this year for the tv audience

especially because with the purple wedding not until next year I don't know if we even see Jaime again this season

So I watched the Red Wedding scene...it doesn't have the impact that I envisioned it did in the books, but it went pretty well, such as it is.
