Easy to take the high road when your team won. But Crosby and his team need to suck it up, lack of composure is a theme from the Pens the last few years in the playoffs.

The Bruins did what they had to do and that was get under the skin of the Pens and in particular Cindy Crosby. If the Pens don't show more discipline it could be a short series

This is "barely touched him".

How can that be possible? Cooke is supposed to be 'reformed' this season...

How the #### can you tell from a pic? Really? I watched in on TV, many times.

There was no head contact on the Cooke hit. It was an over reaction call from the ref because it was Cooke, plain and simple. It should have been 2 minutes, same as the Bruins hit from behind. Only difference is what resulted in, what they thought was an injury, so he got a 5 and a game.

Hahaha wow, really?

Yep, just threw himself into the boards face first, Cooke "barely" helped at all. Hahaha... all right, sure!

You need to get over yourself. Marchand is not exactly an angel himself, in fact he's a dirty little puke, the more I see the guy play the more I don't like him.

Sounds to me like Crosby is saying the refs were bad and Ference is making excuses as to why they were bad. Just sayin'

I agree with this and I hope that they do not go back to Fluery. The Pens were a disaster in their own zone and quite frankly they're lucky that they only gave up three goals. What is bothering me is this media driven narrative that Vokoun shouldn't get the start next game or that they should quickly switch back to Fleury if Vokoun even gives up one questionable goal (which was not the case tonight) on Monday. The guy has been an upgrade on Fleury and you have to show faith in the goaltender that got you there, but that's just like my opinion man. Regardless of who is in net if the Pens do not improve in their own zone they're going to be fighting an uphill battle.

I didn't say he didn't deserve a hit from behind. So, quit with the dramatics and being over sensitive.

He didn't hit him as hard to deserve A 5 and a game though.

Not at all. That was a penalty but the Cooke rules kicked in for sure. That won't stop the pitch fork crowd from getting all indignant about the whole thing though, cue the self righteous outrage lol.

Just watched the highlights. Safe to say both Cooke and Marchand are tools. Crosby's got some big cajones going after Chara. If Rask keeps this up, well, Iggy will have made a bad choice and Boston fans will love it.

ya... you didn't say that at all.

Oh and since you seem oblivious to the rules of the game, "hit him as hard" has no bearing on a hit from behind. It's in the numbers or it's not. Weather it's an average body check or a crushing "Regehr smash" hit, a hit from behind is a hit from behind.

Homer glasses indeed.

**Don't get me wrong, I didn't think it should have been 5 and a game and neither should the Marchand hit, or if they were going to be called as such both should have been. The Cooke "barely" touched him comment tho... wow that was something else.

That's exactly what the Bruins wants, Crosby getting distracted and drawn into the scrums instead of worrying about his game. Chara would like nothing more than for Crosby to spend the entire series standing up for himself.

The league is working very hard to eliminate hits from behind. Any hit from behind, regardless of how hard you think he hit him deserves a game misconduct. It seems to be the only way to get the players to take the issue seriously.
