Not sure how to get a read on players not attending camps in their city. Does this imply that teams not inviting are not interested in the player? If that is the case, then I really hope Zykov will be invited to the Flames camp. And too bad Rychel won't be.

I can't help but picture Feaster watching his evite account waiting for people to confirm attendance.

Could mean that the team has enough information about the player, could also mean the player declined the invitation due to other commitments (i.e another team's combine has conflicting dates with the Flames' combine).
edit: We also don't know the scale/scope of the Flames combine. While the Sabres are inviting 70 players, perhaps the Flames are only inviting players they feel are within reach of their 1st pick.

You know, you are right. Rychel is on Seiloff's team of course. I am more than sure they have a better read on him than most other prospects.

It would be really odd and upsetting if we didn't invite Lindholm.

I think if Calgary can't trade up they should consider trading for Edmontons' pick at 7 that way we could try and grab both Monahan and Lindholm. I get concerned when Feaster says he is only going to trade up without leaving more doors open.

It would cost extra if we tried that now that more of the old school crew is in charge.

There is about 30 days until the draft. How many fitness tests can a player perform in that time? A player not coming to Calgary may be as simple as the player choosing to go to the first 5 or 6 teams that asked

I doubt there is additional fitness testing especially if they went to the NHL combine.
More likely introduction to the organization and possibly more interviews with ownership and upper management involved. Perhaps a medical checkup if something showed up in the fitness testing in toronto.

Why do you think that? Even if Lindholm is in Nashville's top 5, their pick is 4th, and I think there's a good chance he's not in their top 4. If he's not in Carolina's top 5... there's a feasible chance he could be their for our pick still.

At the season ticket holder session I was at Feaster said that Rich Hesketh would put the players through some testing at the U of C.
He also said the number of players they would likely invite... I don't remember the number but it was no where near the 70 Buffalo is said to be inviting. I think it was about 10?

They have Bakrov ranked ahead of him. Flames Draft Watcher posted Poile's list in the draft thread. Todd Button said that they had Lindholm on their radar at the combine.

Or it could just mean that they figure they have enough information on him - and that isn't automatically bad. In fact, it could mean that they are more sure about him than they are about Monahan and Barkov.
