If Boston focuses on Iginla and makes him mad, the series is over. Crosby, Malkin, and a mad Iginla will be impossible to stop. The Bruins would be wise to ignore Iginla outside of the PK, and let him sleep through the series.

Well, at 6'4" Lucic will have the reach advantage along with the age advantage.

I unfortunately really doubt it.

Iginla chose Pittsburgh over Boston because he wanted the path of least resistance to a Cup. He is in easy mode now and I am not holding my breath at seeing the beast rise with him.

I don't think Iginla has been that player in years. The past few years, I noticed Iginla getting knocked off his feet a lot more then his 2004 days of driving to the net like a bull... he's 35 y/o, he's no longer a power forward (more of a sniper/play maker).

The playoffs have just gotten real for Iggy.
The Islanders and Sens put up a good fight but now there's no room for error.
Iggy got his feet wet and got a sense of what his new team is like but now it's time for him to step his game up. It will be exciting to see if he plays like he used to.

Lucic has been my favorite Bruin for a few seasons now.
Lucic is the type of power forward Iggy used to be as far as physical force goes.
But Iggy is in a whole different class of a goal scorer than Lucic is.
Personally i think Boston will have Lucic on Iggy. Iggy has lost a noticeable step and is more easily removed from the puck than he once was.
Malkin is someone that is more key to stop perhaps a quick player like Horton gets that duty, Chara will be matched up against Crosby.
I do think if Iggy is willing to fight Lucic they will go. Lucic will fight anyone but Iggy through experience has learned its only worth a good trade off to fight who is worth having off the ice for 5 min.
So it seems more probable a fight with Lucic could happen.

Lucic is built for fighting. All of his muscle is in his shoulders and upper back.

I doubt that we are going to see an Iginla-Lucic fight. Just too risky for Iginla, personally, at this point of his career and his role is no longer to lead the team by challenging to fight the opponent's best and meanest players.
However; I don't agree that Iginla is lesser of a player than Lucic. He is much smarter on ice, both positionally and technically. Lucic is a very good player, of course, but he is still playing like a young big bully, using more power and speed than brains. Great to watch though.

If a Lucic Iggy fight does occur i think Iggy definatly will get a few pops in on Lucic but if Lucic gets free of a tie up by Iggy he will over power Iggy and land some very heavy shots.
It all depends if it is along the boards or in the corner. Iggy will be quick to hold Lucic off and it will be more of a mauling with a fee shots back and forth landed only and will probably end with Lucic ramming Iggy up against the glass, then the refs will break it up.
If they do scrap i hope it is right near center ice, it would be epic.

Iggy can definitely still throw 'em, but Lucic is bigger, younger, and is a great fighter to boot. Would probably be a great tilt, but you gotta think Lucic would come out on top.

The Bruins can focus on Iginla all they want, but if they don't pay attention to Crosby or Malkin then the series will be really short, and not so favorable for Boston.

And James Neal is just hitting his stride now too. 5G and 7P in his last 2 games.

IMO he can be the late hit, constant yapping guy that scores PP goals after drawing penalties.
And if the team needs a momentum swing he can play old time hockey.
8 more wins to a cup. I think he will be a different guy.
And there is not that much pressure on him.

I don't get why the media has been saying Iggy hasn't been performing in the playoffs. He has 12 points in 11games. PPG player in the playoffs aren't easy to come buy. Yes he has great line mates but that was the point he chose to go to pittsburgh. At this stage in his career he can be a solid number 2 option on a team. In this case he gets to be number 3/4 behind Crosby and Malkin and about even with Neal.
If you look at his assist numbers you can see how well he is playing with his line. I have thought that one of the mistakes made with Iggy was always looking for a center for him. Instead another premier scoring option would have been just as beneficial. Look at the season he and Cammy had the first year he was here.
To win this series the Penguins just have to not have substantially worse goaltending than the bruins. If they give up more than 1 bad goal a game they will lose this series.

Iggy wouldn't go looking for lucic that is for sure, he is smarter the that. However, it's not his personality to backdown if lucic pressed him for it.
Iggy loses that fight 9/10 times but, as they say, shows up 10/10 and that can be a big thing for momentum.

Lucic would physically dominate any version of Iginla you could dream up, young or old. Lucic is a bull.
He is not the goal scorer Iggy is, but I would take Lucic's corner in a fight, or collision 10 times out of 10.
