Sliver, I was just at the barber shop in Avenida and some dude was going off about dogs. Was that you? Didn't mention anything about Christ, so not sure.
I do think my image is much more tasteful than what is out there right now, though. I can't remember seeing any statues of MLK with a bullet streaming through his head.

I drive by a Catholic school every day and they have a billboard out front they always put a really dumb message on. Like, believe in Jesus and you will be saved or somthing stupid.
The non xtian school across they street will put something like "school book pictures, June 15th" or something that really makes sense and is relative to reality in peoples lives.
It's like there is a 500 year time warp from one side of the street to the other.

Sliver, I'm sure you didn't have bad intentions in creating this thread (no sarcasm) and that you're actually a really good guy in person. However I couldn't help but shake my head or facepalm whenever I read a lot of your posts here. I'm also sure that you wish the best for your kids and do everything you can to provide an excellent living for them, but I feel bad for them for having a father that thinks the way you do.
I believe you're the only person who happens to be offended by something that has been the central image of Christianity for thousands of years. You can defend your thoughts all you want but you just come off as incredibly ignorant. Studying Christianity in University doesn't give you anywhere near the same experience and knowledge as someone who is actually a Christian. Jesus on the cross is also not a 'logo' or a 'brand'.

Logos are images used by organizations to promote instant public recognition. Christ on the cross is a logo in every sense.
I'm a christian but baptist as a catholic. Never grew up raised as a catholic but after learning more about christianity and catholism the only difference is that the catholics have a graven images of all the saints and jesus. The only problem i have with catholism is the mear fact that they have this graven images or statues that they pray on. Specially in the hispanic country's or as an example the philippines. They get offended when i explain to them about one of the examples God forbids christians is to create an images and worship them. I get that they pay respect but in many cases these people worship and believe in this creations. It's so wrong but they are blinded by these traditions. I'm sorry i will offend catholics but there are so many examples that catholicism preaches that go against the bible that they base their faiths upon.

So you're a Baptist?
Don't worry about offending Catholics, everyone who isn't Catholic offends Catholics.

Ooops i know someone will notice i ment baptise**
Im a christian and goes to a non denominational church.
I think catholics needs to watch the ten commandments over and over again just to remind them of what basically is their practices. I'm not good at quoting bible verses and i dont like getting into debates just speaking my mind so to speak
That hole your digging is getting deeper and deeper.
He's still correct, whether it hurts your feelings or not.

But you're not Catholic, and therefore in their eyes, you're doing it wrong. And because of this - as we've already established - your interpretation of Christianity is meaningless because of this. C'mon man, Burninator already covered this.

It amuses me to no end when the whole 'I'm a real xian but you're not because you're ________ & everyone knows only ______ are really xians' argument starts amongst the believers.
