Too late. Who is your favorite player in the league? What if his career ended on a cheapshot by a dbag?

Wait, Savard was your favourite player? How in the world does that happen? You do remember him never going past centre ice in his entire time with Calgary right?

I'm pretty sure that Clutterbuck and Babchuk are his 2nd and 3rd favorite players, so I wouldn't waste too much time trying to figure it out.

Regardless, I'm not sure why anyone would voluntarily align with this fanbase...

Leafs Fan Recovering After Being Knocked Out

Quote:
The 23-year-old remembers hearing a group of rival fans throwing peanuts and empty beer cups at him and his friends.

Hay, who was wearing a Leafs jersey, as well as a blue mask and mohawk, said his group didn't return the taunts. He said he and his friends focused on celebrating after each goal.

The last thing he remembers is someone hitting him.

"I didn’t see it coming or anything like that," said Hay.

The blow knocked him out. Hay said he was out for about three to five minutes.

Hay now has three staples in his head. He is awaiting the arrival of his medical bill from the U.S.
Habs Fan Attacked In Boston

Quote:
The Boston Herald newspaper reported a Montrealer named Jean-Pierre Masse was beaten and kicked in the face several times about 10:20 p.m. after Game 4 of the NHL Eastern Conference quarterfinal series, in which the Boston Bruins lost 1-0 to the Montreal Canadiens. The incident happened on Causeway St., outside the TD Banknorth Garden, the site of the game, minutes after the contest had ended.

Masse, 28, was wearing a red Canadiens sweater as he walked past a group of about 20 Bruins fans, witnesses said.

"They began yelling things like, 'Go home, you French (expletive)' - things like that," Hugo Contant, a Quebecer who was at the scene, told the Herald.

Masse told the group he didn't want any trouble, Contant said, but one of the people punched him in the face. His eyeglasses fell off and he fell to the ground. Then one of the men kicked Masse in the face at least twice. "I thought they would kill him," Contant said.

NSFW Language...

You stay classy, Boston.

Too lazy to look back in the thread but I actually came in here to ask, has Savard officially retired yet? If he has will the bruins be in the same spot as the flyers with Pronger?

Why is that relevant? All I said is that he's turned around his game and isn't near the scumbag he used to be. It's impressive.

Majority of the fanbase embraced Bertuzzi and Marchment because "they changed" (and put on Flames sweater...) so it should be no surprise that the same fanbase has no trouble embracing Cooke because "he's changed" (and plays with Iginla...)

Never said I embraced Cooke, I'm still waiting for him to do some dirty thing for me to hate him again. But the fact that he hasn't done anything like that for 2?+ seasons now is impressive for him.

What? lol.

I don't recall much, if anyone, stating Bertuzzi or Marchment "had changed'. You're just making crap up. Plenty of us, me included, were pleased as punch to see a puke like Marchment exit the game trying to go for a dirty hit and injuring himself while he was a Flame.

they "changed" as in "started playing for Calgary"

lol indeed

I recall threads right here on CP (not sure about the "other board") that a lot of people changed their tune. I seem to recall that Sutter shrugged off Bert's history as well.

Well. I'd love to see those threads. Don't really care what Sutter thought, we're talking about fans here.

Most put up with with Bertuzzi, he scored goals, when he did that, you cheer. Most hated Marchment and were happy when he hurt himself.

Thankfully neither did anything to embarrass the Flames. Can't recall anything dirty either did during their time here. The one time Marchment tried a dirty knee-on-knee he hurt himself and didn't play again, it was sweet.

I'll be okay with Matt Cooke winning the cup again when Marc Savard plays a full season.

You could make a similar video for every team in the NHL. What's your point?

You could make a similar video for the Canucks and the Habs, but I'm not sure that there are many other teams with that many ridiculous dives. There definitely aren't many, if any, other teams with a player as pathetic as Marchand.

Your two posts here suggest you haven't watched any Pens games this post season. You should stop being a troll.

Anyone have any thoughts on when this series would start? I am hoping they play Saturday in Pitt so I can catch a game.

My guess is Friday. As soon as possible suits me just fine though. I'm excited for this series.

It's crazy that Pitt has not had a home game on a Saturday yet these playoffs.
