Or LewandoWski could stay with a team who makes the Champions League Final, instead of going to the team who got knocked out by a team that he, himself, scored 4 goals against in one match. Just saying....
Ah yes, because making the CL Final one year means that a team is certain to make it again the following year. Great logic there.

You mean one game sample sizes aren't a foolproof method of analyzing sports and future performance?
Oldham Athletic knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup; clearly Oldham is the better overall team.

Huddlestone, Parker, and Gallas available for transfer. I can't imagine any of them go for big bucks, but they're definitely surplus at this point. Can only hope BAE is next.

Gallas was a total liability this season. I hope we stay away from ex-Gooners from now on. Rumours are we way be in for Vermaelen.
Thudd looked good the last few matches but he is soooo slow. At least he's probably added a couple of million to his transfer value.
Parker I'd be sad to see go. Always good to have depth, and Sandro plays so hard that he takes the odd knock. Wouldn't want the only option for injury replacement to be Livermore...
No point selling Benny unless there's a solid LB replacement lined up. I know Vertonghen looks good there, but he's more influencial in the middle of defence. Danny Rose doesn't look that great IMO.
The press keeps regurgitating this same old Damiao rumour. I'd love it, but this will be the 6th transfer window where Spurs are strongly linked with a £16 million move for him & Internacional don't sell him. Borrrrrrring!

I wouldn't mind Vermaelen so long as he knows he's a depth player. Vertonghen, Kaboul, Dawson, Caulker, Vermaelen would be pretty good depth.
I thought Huddlestone was mediocre to poor in his last few games. He was absolutley horrendous against Chelsea.
I don't think Rose could be any worse than BAE at this point. Benny looks like he's half-asleep on his best days.
EDIT: Really hope Gylfi gets more first team looks next year.
The picture was signed by Van Persie on both sides, reading: "Piersy my man, thanks for all the support! You made this day even more special! All the best, Van Pursestrings.
"Great to be a champ.. so many #Tears4Piersy," it continued on the other side of the photo.

If the Verminator leaves, it would be for a starting position. He said he owes the club so I could see him staying and fighting and if he does leave I can't see it being a Judas-like move.

Yeah, and like I said, I don't think he's a massive upgrade over Dawson or Kaboul. Plus, I'm really hoping Caulker takes another step forward next year.
Tottenham have opened talks over a £10m move for Barcelona striker David Villa, 31, and have renewed their interest in long-term target Leandro Damiao.[Daily Mail]
Well, with the purchase of Neymar David Villa would seem to be the odd man out.
I think he was already feeling left out so this will definitely see him pack his bags. He'd be a great depth signing for Arsenal but I think Wegner will stick with Giroud as his target man and will be looking to sign someone like Stevan Jovetic. If that doesn't pan out, I'd love to see him at The Emirates but at this point in his career, I think he'll want to be the undisputed starting forward.
