You cannot defend against that.
This is the difference between a good junior team, and a team with three nhl ready guys.

MacKinnon's speed generates so much space, every shift.

He's #1 on some lists I have seen. Jones looks like he could be a very good defenseman but MacKinnon has the look of a superstar.

I really hope they do. They can't waste the years of their other players to wait for Seth Jones to become an impact player, and I'm not sure he becomes one for three to four seasons. That and I just enjoy watching MacKinnon play, he's like a much smarter Taylor Hall.

The Avs will take Jones because they are the Avs. The same team that matched that ridiculous offer to ROR when they could have two of the top 6 players in this draft instead of wildly overpaying their 2nd line centre.

What? They should have never matched the Flames offer. That was dumb. A first round pick was Varlamov is brilliant if in an alternat universe maybe. The only team that rivals the Flames and Oilers for embarrassing themselves is the Avalanche.

Someone's gonna be left holding the bag when Jones goes 1st overall. Heck even top 3.

No way we make the playoffs with ROR, but we don't finish bottom 6 either

He Avs didn't exactly climb the standings when he returned.

The Flames finished 6th by having a good finish in the past 10 games so I don't really see much improvement with ROR as the team still would have likely traded Iginla and Bouwmeester. It's worth mentioning that the Avs got worse once he came back so I just don't know if he's a big difference maker.

Boy that Petan is pretty skilled. Wonder if a team takes a chance on him late in the 1st round or early 2nd round.

He'll go late 1st. I'd like him if our top 2 prospects weren't under 6 feet tall.

I don't think that's a goal as his stick never touched it.

You talk as if they're a franchise who can only make dumb decisions. Plus if we had ROR we wouldn't have the 6th overall pick, never mind the fact that Monahan, a guy a lot of us want at 6, hopes to be as good as ROR is right now. And I don't see anything wrong with the Varlamov deal, it's clearly an Avs win in that deal now that the Caps traded Forsberg. Now that the LaCroix's are gone I see the days of bottom feeder Avs disappearing.

Yeah he's kind of redundant with Johnny Gaudreau also in the system.

You really believe what you just posted or are you simply trying to oppose a post I made? Yes they are a franchise that makes a lot of dumb decisions. I could make a list but I expect it would fall on deaf ears with you as you don't see anything wrong with the Varlamov deal lol.
