Life of a season ticket holder in a soft market.
I thought this was very interesting as a hockey fan in general.
Worth a new thread? Probably not but why not try. Here is a cool story just recently tweeted by the 'stache.

I like this idea. I was going to go to Montreal or Boston to see a Flames game. Maybe I just fly to Florida to see one. I wonder if he would give me his tickets to that game...

The whole lying about being a diehard fan to get the prime seats part kind of bothered me. I mean there are diehard Panthers fans, they may not be numerous but they do exist, who should be getting that experience. The seats probably would have sat empty anyways, but for some reason that irked me.

Good read, I was not a fan of lying but in the grand scheme of d-bag things Canucks fans do that is not a big one...

I couldn't find a lawyer by the name of "Jay Adams" registered in BC -- so I'm assuming his real name is different (which makes sense -- as a junior lawyer I don't think you'd want to publish how you lied/scammed your way to free tickets to a hockey game).

Even if he did lie, it's great exposure for the team and I imagine he's a fan now.

How could you say that he cheers for a team with Ballard, Booth, Luongo, Higgens and Garrison on the roster. That is a die hard fan to follow that list of players across the continent.

e) forced me to thoroughly investigate the Panthers’ farm system (convenient, considering Dale Tallon is the only NHL contact Mike Gillis has)

LOL
Kind of makes me wonder why the Miami area even has professional sports franchise. The hockey arena is empty, the baseball stadium is empty, Dolphins stadium is half empty and I guess they have the Heat but that's a dream team and won't last forever. Simply one of the worst sports cities in North America.

that was a fun read i like this guy's sense of humor. Do something like this just to have a wacky story you have to admire his perspective.

It would almost be fun for a bunch of us CP'ers to pool in for a couple of seats so that we can choose games to go down to Florida.
