Love Breaking Bad, but can't be unhappy bowing out to Seinfeld.

I'll just leave this here:

Horrific result, but kind of interesting that a show about nothing wins. That probably says something about something.

I know this, I will probably see every episode of Breaking Bad 3 times in my life, and in succession. I'll never watch an episode of Seinfeld again unless I happen to be flipping through channels and decide "there's nothing better on". That's not to say Seinfeld wasn't quality TV.

Late to the party but Breaking Bad is the best show ever!!! and how can it even be a contest? Firefly and Seinfeld aren't even in HD. Can't watch that sd crap. Thats why i'll never watch The Wire.

I guess people love their CTV/CBC production values in Firefly? haha

What a bizarre thing to say when discussing the quality of a program.

This is confusing, even for you Bertuzzied. Are we really going to fault Seinfeld for not being shot in HD when it started, in the 80s?

FireFly was shot in widescreen format too at least, which is nice.

Yes i fault Seinfeld. haha. They can remaster it can't they?

But Seinfeld is pretty high up there on my list in my top 5 even though it's in crappy sd.

Breaking Bad (HD)
Band of Brothers (HD)
Game of Thrones (HD)
Season 1 of Heroes (HD)
Seinfeld (S hittyD)

and firefly.... is it because of homer votes because the main guy is from Edmonton? hehe I tried to watch it twice but couldn't because of the crappy special effects and the CTV coloring of the picture. It felt like Nightwatch.

I've heard Nathan Fillion is a giant dick for what it's worth, or at least he was. My brother went to the same high school with him, and apparently no one really liked him. Now that was 10-15 years ago, but that's what I've been told.

I've also met Fillion's mother a couple times when I worked at a movie theater a while back, and she was a pretty crazy chicken.

And why does a sitcom need to be in HD Bertuzzied? For action/adventure shows sure it can make a difference, but for live action sitcoms it doesn't really matter.

I won't watch anything thats not HD anymore. But yeah sitcoms totally blow. thats why for Seinfeld to make my top 10 tv shows ever is something special. My next sitcom would prob be in the 30's and that would be Family Ties.

Firefly was about characters. It could have been set anywhere - the Old West, a pirate ship, etc. The sci-fi element was secondary.

Yeah, exactly. When I think of Fire Fly I think of the great stories and the great characters in those stories. My favorite episode (Heat of Gold) was basically a an old west shoot out story, it had little or nothing to do with special effects.

Ok i only watched 2-3 episodes but how can it be about characters when there was so much bad acting?

Like that Summer gow chick is prob one of the worst actors ever.

Firefly wasn't the best Joss Whedon show, heck it wasn't even the second best. I think it being cancelled after one year really helped to become a cult classic to some.

It was a solid show, but I didn't find the show or the movie to be that spectacular. Although I did quite like Chiwetel Ejiofor in Serenity; that guy should be a star in Hollywood from what I've seen from him.

Lets do a most overrated TV show battle.

1. Firefly. hahahahaha
2. Family Guy
3. Firefly on widescreen dvd
4. South Park
5. Firefly on Blu ray.

I don't understand the argument of not being able to rank Seinfeld highly simply because it was filmed in SD... It's a sitcom, that started in the 80's. That's like saying Shawshank Redemption is terrible because it's not in 3D.

Well why didn't any black or white shows make the top 64?

But ok even if Seinfeld was filmed in Imax 3D in 1080p and broadcasted on a 100 inch OLED, Breaking Bad is still a better tv series.

Breaking Bad has 2 of the top 10 TV characters of all time with Jesse and Saul!
