Eagles have signed Felix Jones to a 1-year deal.

Also, I found this funny:

Quote:
Well, to a point. McCoy was talking about how some of the quarterbacks performed at practice when he said “Mark” Barkley looked pretty good. It sounded like a simple slip up at first, but then McCoy called him Mark again. Someone helpfully corrected the running back and told him the rookie’s name is actually Matt –- which made McCoy smile.

“It’s Matt?” McCoy asked with a laugh. “Really? I’ve been calling him Mark all day. He didn’t say nothing about it.”

Just heard Deangelo Hall repeatedly refer to Kirk Cousins as Kurt in an interview on Sirius 88

Chargers' LB Ingram tore his ACL in practice.

Rolando "#### Y'All" McClain retires from the NFL. Not too many guys have had quicker, more disasterous NFL careers than this guy. I guess he can look forward to dominated the Alabama State Penn League.

Why do they word it that way? Retired?

He quit. He's not important enough to retire.

David Garrard retires as well. He could have won the QB job in NY if healthy but his knees weren't cooperating.

Rolando McClain statement from why he walked away football at this time. I truly respect his decision, I hope he really means it.

"Clearly, my decision to retire has raised some questions. Quite simply, I love football, but I have decided at this time it is in my best interest to focus on getting my personal life together. Beyond that, I'm not sure what the future holds for me, including football.

This was entirely my decision and the Ravens have been very supportive during this process. I am very grateful for the opportunity they gave me and wish them the best of luck in the future. God willing, maybe I'll play for them one day."

Oh boy....jets are the team that just keeps on giving football fans all kinds of entertainment.

Quote:
New York Jets running back Mike Goodson was arrested Friday morning on drug possession and weapon charges, New Jersey state police spokesperson Stephen Jones told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Goodson was found with a friend intoxicated on Route 80 in Denville N.J., according to police. A truck driver found them and called 911 due to concerns about Goodson, who was in the passenger seat of an SUV. He was transported to St. Clair Hospital, and then brought to police offices when he was deemed healthy enough to discharge.

The 25-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a loaded handgun. Goodson was taken to Morristown jail and was behind held on a $50,000 full cash bail. It's uncertain if he has been released yet.

Seattle has a bit of a cheating problem. Probably not a huge surprise considering who the coach is. Sixth player since 2011 suspended for PEDs.

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks defensive end Bruce Irvin was suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season on Friday after the league announced he violated the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Dwight Freeney signs a 2 year deal in San Diego. Thanks for everything in Indy Freeney. Probably the 2nd most popular player after Manning in that era.

Good God how bloody idiotic:

NFL and NFLPA are on verge of pushing back draft to May and moving up start of league year to before combine, per sources.

NFL and NFLPA are close to enacting these calendar changes for the next three years.

Looks like 2014 NFL draft will be held May 15-17. In 2015 and 2016, league year would start early March, combine mid-March.

Tentative dates for NFL Draft in 2015 would be May 7-9 and in 2016 it would be May 5-7.

It's like Goodell is on a personal mission to piss off each and every NFL fan.

Changes like this have been rumoured for a long time. The NFL wants to try and make it a 12 month news league to keep in the public eye. Plus it gives their network more consistent programming - how many of those cheesy 30minute shows can they produce? Have they done a "Top 10 Plays where the player lost a shoe" or "Top 10 Players shorter than 5'8" yet?

And Goodell is like Bettman - the owners have someone to take all the heat. While I'm sure each owner has their own chance to grouse about him, I'm also sure they all love that is it him who gets almost all the criticism.

SF thought they were the odds on favourite as soon as Miami didn't get the funding they wanted for stadium renovations.

Charles Woodson back to the Raiders.

Quote:
Woodson's deal is worth a maximum of $4.3 million and includes a $700,000 signing bonus, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported.

Brian Urlacher retires....until some team suffers linebacker injuries this season and I'm guessing he'll be back after that. It seems no one wanted him after the Bears passed as well.

I'm trying to figure out what the issue is. A few more weeks until the draft?
