I have a couple tickets to go to this. Has anyone ever been to this event in the past? I hear it is a really good party and entertaining rugby. I am looking forward to seeing an event at twickenham, I was hoping to go to a Six Nations event this year.
For any UK based (or anyone willing to make the trip) CPers I have an extra ticket for May 11th if anyone is interested in joining me. I don't really have anyone to go with and I got the tickets for free so I don't expect to be paid for it. Hoping that i dont have to go by myself. Send me a PM if you are interested.

So I wanted to post an update. I found a kiwi to go to the event with (like selling drugs to an addict). I would reccomend rugby 7s to anyone, one of the best live sporting events/parties I have ever been to. It was probably the largest costume party I have ever been to with approximately 90% of the 70k people there dressed up in safari costumes. I will definatley be going next year, and also to as many rugby matches in the future as I can get to. Here are some photos:

Just giving you the gears! I love sevens. Its both fun to play and watch, although I agree its quite a bit different from 15's. Both are great though.
As you're finding out, even hinting that you prefer another code to rugby union results in something in ucb's brain exploding. It's a rather odd condition.

Former Ohio State star running back Maurice Clarett will try his hand at something other than football.
Clarett will play for the Columbus affiliate of Tiger Rugby, the rugby developmental program for selecting the team that will represent the U.S. at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the Columbus Dispatch reported Friday.
The Ohio Rugby Sevens Invitational will take place in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, on May 25.
Clarett spent one season at Ohio State, rushing for 1,237 yards while scoring 18 touchdowns in helping the Buckeyes win the 2002 BCS National Championship. However, he was dismissed from the program after one season, becoming the center of a scandal involving improper benefits.
Following his stint at Ohio State, Clarett was drafted in the third round by the Denver Broncos in 2005 but was released before ever playing a game.
Clarett also served 3½ years in prison on robbery and concealed weapons charges, then played for the Omaha Nighthawks in the UFL in 2011. He released a book in 2012 in which he boasted of making plenty of money in college and described a life of guns and drugs.
That's an interesting horse for USA Rugby to hitch their cart to.....

It seems he's turned his life around quite a bit in the last few years. If that's actually the case I don't see any issue with it, and he has the athletic ability to be a beast in 7's.

Physically, absolutely, it is the off field stuff I would be concerned about. I hope he has turn things around, nothing wrong with second changes.

I tried to go to a 6 nations event earlier this year, but i couldn't afford it at the time. It is pretty crazy expensive and not easy to get a ticket to those games. The premiership final is next weekend, but I am going to be out of the city for it so I will miss it, next year. I am moving to a place pretty close to Twickenham in a few weeks so I was going to try the old trick of showing up 5 minutes after a game has started and low balling the touts/scalpers for unsold tickets.
I miss rugby as I played club for a summer when I was a kid and in High School. I even remember going to the Mavericks training camp back in the day and seeing Canada against Northern Ireland, I think (i honestly cant remember) shortly after the Rugby Union opened.
