When I was young I wanted to be a computer programmer like my Dad. I took computer engineering immediately after high school, and ended up hating it. I graduated when I was 20 and didn't even enter that field.
At 23 I went back to school and took various petroleum/geology programs (still do) and now enjoy working in the geoscience group at my work as a technologist.
Now that I am an adult, I want to be a professional DJ. I still do it locally from time to time, but I'd love to be that guy who tours all over the world and plays at the biggest/best clubs nightly.

I would really like to be a golf professional (club head pro / teaching professional). If there was any money in it, I'd leave oil and gas right meow and get working at it.

Sure you don't have a latent desire to be a cat?

I never really had a dream job. I guess I was and am still lazy. Much like the guy from office space my dream job is to do nothing and live comfortably. I guess winning the lottery for me?

Never really had a dream job. Just kind of floated along through school and the early years of work. My most favorite job was working in a small town TV/radio station. It was so hands on and involved in all aspects was really cool.
I started part time with Canucks about 4 or 5 years ago and that has turned into nearly a fulltime job. We have implemented a tonne of new technology with the latest being a program called iBench. You guessed it, video streams from the video coaches to the coaches on the bench for immediate feed back. Used a lot in football but as far as I know there is not a lot of video streaming in hockey. Now I am part of team that implements and maintains all the technology in Roger's arena, scoreboard right down to the tv in Gillis' office. The building is very cool and a lot of fun. Just the wrong damn team.
So on to current dream job. Talked to a few people at the Flames about what we do at Roger's arena and they have no full time person in that capacity per se mostly part timers. They also don't have as big of operation on the side of things either. Hoping to have a few more conversations once a few people get back from holidays . Who knows, but would be cool to say that after growing up dreaming of wearing the Flaming C that you do actually work there.
Sorry, long winded, bored at work.

In the future, when 3D plastic printers become more common I want to be the guy who designs and prints replacement parts for specialized equipment or restoration projects.

So, when you were in the sandbox you kept telling all the other kids to diversify their portfolios and invest in derivatives?

FANTASY
Basically... rich global industrialist/scientist/mechanic like Tony Stark with a fancy building and a nice office;
But I didn't have a goatee and my flying armor suit was blue and black with a visor and wings (that formed the shield) in my dreams/fantasies from childhood into teenage years.
REALISTICALLY ATTAINABLE
As I got older, I dreamed of being an artist in an electronic medium like movies, special effects, or video games while also being a guitarist in an 80s metal band.
REALITY
Now I work in IT in O&G with a nice office in a fancy building and I play bass in a cover band every day. (elements of all the above, albeit a bit of a downgrade; insert bassist jokes here)
