Thats right I think. For every Division leader that gets knocked out, the pick jumps a spot. So we want the Leafs, Wings, Rangers and Isles x2 to win.

Edit: I think the wings win their series and the pick settles at 22. Don't think the other teams will get ousted in the first round.

I thought it was 24th if the kings win?

2 finalists, 2 semis losers and the 2 division champs who have been knocked out (van and mtl) picking behind = 24th, must be missing somebody.

Then as mentioned any other division winners or Boston losing this round or next will bump the pick higher.

Edit.... Just figured it out, since there are 4 division leaders and boston left at least one of them can't make the semis thus 23rd guaranteed.

Alright Sutter, time to pay back some karma. The Kings take out the Blues, we get a higher draft pick, and we draft our Phaneuf replacement.

Doesn't look like it's going to happen for the Blues tonight. Unfortunate as I really don't like LA but it's a better draft pick so it could be worse
