Luongo
Price
Ward

I would guess Luongo starts with Price backing up unless either completely implode next season

3rd is up for grabs at this point, I could see Ward/Smith/Holtby all getting consideration

complete lack of depth

the Americans have arguably 3 guys who would start for Canada

Quick/Schnieder/Anderson

Finland has 2

Rinne/Rask

Sweden has King Henrik

Cam Ward is my starter.
Carey Price is my backup.
Roberto Luongo is my third string.

Fasth could be added after his performance this year too.

Nevermind Finland, the Americans seem to be doing a really good job of developing goalies.

Quick is arguably the best in the league right now, and Miller and Anderson are right on his heels.

Plus they have Gibson and Gillies coming up too.

1. Stanley cup and Conn Smythe winner (Big game performer)
2. Plenty of international experience (Gold and Silver medals at the WC).
3. Will only be 30 years old (not to old, not to young)
4. Outside of an injury plagued 17 games this season he has consistently played at a high level for the last half decade. (0.915 SV % or better)

All in all I would say he is more than qualified to be apart of this team.

1. 7 years ago
2. He was pretty bad at least years worlds
3. Comparable age to Crawford, Smith, Fleury, etc.
4. Comparable to Crawford, Smith, Fleury, etc.

I am not saying he shouldn't go, I am just trying to figure out why he is such a slam dunk to a lot of people.

1. He has still proven to step up big under pressure situations. That is not a trait that just disappears or appears with time. Ask Fluery..
2. The entire team was a hot mess. Surely you can't blame the teams lack of success on him, can you?
3. Yes. I can agree with you there.
4. No. Statistically Cam Ward has been far more consistent than each player you listed. Fleury only achieved that mark once, Smith twice, and Crawford twice.

His consistency + ability to step up in big games is what makes him a favorite in my books.

Of the three you listed I think Corey Crawford has the best chance at making a strong push if he continues to play at such a high level moving forward.

Who was the last real good goaltender to play for Canada at the World Jr's?

Bernier, Pogge, Mason, Tokarski.

Goalies have been weak for Canada for quite sometime now.

And why not? he's been on every Canadain team thus far since the lockout and is doing fairly decent . He's proven he is capable of playing for Canada. Canada will most likely be stacked on forwards/Defense.

I think it will be Price, Ward, and Luongo; but I have no idea who will be the starter, backup, and third string.

Dubnyk or Crawford for me but I still think goal is going to be our Achilles heel this Olympics.

Wow, Pogge is playing in Italy. I had no idea.
