One of Nurse or Nichushkin drops to around the 10-12 range. Maybe even both of them.
I think there is a decent chance that Barkov drops to #6, but I would be very surprised if he dropped more than that.

I'm thinking the same thing, I could see him going ~15-20

God damm and your dream. I can't stop thinking about it. I don't think Monahan would get past Edmonton, but if he did, there is a chance.
I'll say this, there is probably a better chance of your dream happening than Calgary's chances of trading up to #2.

Ryan Pulock has a good chance of dropping from mid 1st round to late 1st round/early 2nd. Had a real lackluster 2nd half of the season, and I could see how some teams may think he only has one tool (his heavy shot).
Mantha has been ripped a lot lately by a lot of these draft ranking websites for lack of compete/drive. May drop too.

Hoping one of the big 4 slide to the 6 spot but I doubt it.
I could see this being a wacky first round with teams drafting more for need than BPA considering there is so much talent.

It works both ways in my eyes. Say we grab Monahan at 6 and the Russian flight risk is very present and evident in the eyes of the GMs. It very well could be Nichu falling into that golden area and I would hope (if we had a good enough read on him) that Feaster would take the risk.
Grigs fell because the GMs were nervous about him.. so same thing could happen with Nichu. Risky but totally worth a hard look at if it were to present itself.
As much as I'm enjoying these playoffs I just want this bloody draft to be done with. The suspense and speculation is making it hard to stay away from CP and other hockey sites.

I'm a huge fan of Pulock. Reminds me of Pronger in a lot of ways. If he drops I would suggest Feaster do what he can to get him.

Looking at how players are ranked in different publications, it's hard to say who will fall. The Hockey News has Barkov going sixth... I wish. Lazar has been ranked from as high as ten to later in the first round.
Who's going to drop the most? It may depend which publication's draft ranking you believe in the most.

B to the arkov. I could see Nashville taking Lindholm and Carolina taking Monahan. I know i'm 100% wrong though.

What about Hunter Shinkurak? I could see him dropping. According a scout in the Hockey News he's got some issues with being a good teammate on the ice because he's been given a huge amount of free reign from the coach.

I could actually see Monahan going the other way if his interviews go really well.

I'm thinking Nurse, Monahan or possibly Jones to #3

If I had to pick a name then it would be Ryan Pulock.
I am not saying that I would let him slide (I have him in my top 10), but I certainly think that there are concerns that he has already peaked physically, and that his numbers have somewhat stagnated in Brandon. In addition to that nothing outside of his shot screams high end. He is good at nearly everything else, but not elite.
In saying that all it takes is for one GM to really like the kid and he goes where he is projected, or even earlier.

He seems to usually be ranked 5-8th overall, although there are a few that rank him in the top 5. Unless he drops out of the top 10, I don't think he will qualify.

Jones would have to sleep with Sherman's wife and defecate on the hood of his car not to get drafted by the Avalanche, but probably not even then. Colorado has a pressing need for D, and he's a hometown kid. There's is 0% chance of Jones not going to Colorado.

Should Shinkaruk fall our of the top 10 or 12, it will be Grand Theft Hunter for whoever lands him. Too passionate. Too smart. Too talented. ( In depth profile)

Even then Sakic would probably tell Sherman to suck it up and ask him if he has any legal age daughters too.

Hunter Shinkaruk will drop, IMO. Just like PMM said, I've heard he has huge off ice issues.
I think the top 4 is guaranteed but 5th, it all changes. Nurse, Monahan, Lindholm, and Nichushkin are all in that realm. It seems to me that whoever picks 5th is taking one of those guys earlier than they should. Whoever picks 8th gets a steal. That's why I think the Flames should try to make a trade with Buffalo to land in that 8th spot. That way they get their hands on 2 of those guys I listed.

I don't think the quote in THN is referring to "off ice issues" in the least.
What they are saying is that because he is so gifted, he's been allowed to get away with things on the ice, and that he'll have to better learn the team game going forward.
His coaches have nothing but praise for his off ice work ethic and his invaluable leadership abilities.

If feaster is taking about it he really must want to talk Lindholm into be taken before the Flames pick.
Either Barkov falls to the Flames of the Flames take Monahan.
Either way if Lindholm is gone before the Flames pick then Feaster is not going to be blamed for passing on him.
Jones, Mackinnion, Drouin, Barkov, Nurse leaves the Flames picking Monahan and the Oilers having to pass on both Nichushkin and Lindholm (for the same reasons the Flames pass on them... teams in need of grit).
Sabres with Gerbe Ennis and Hodgson as their young small talented guys might pass as well.
Lindholm either gets picked 4-5 or 10-11 not that much of a drop.
With LA and Boston doing well in the Playoffs the NHL will be swing back to an extra premium on big gritty players.
