It's kind of funny, but considering the case here, probably a little over the line.
But the thing here is that people LIKE Charles Ramsey because he says the first crazy thing that comes to his head. He has absolutely no self censoring. I was talking to a friend yesterday about "Catcher in the Rye" and Holden Caulfield and how we all play this charade of life where we talk and behave so as to conform to what is civilized society. Charles Ramsey has no such chains. He just lives his life and doesn't give a #### about what other people think. Expecting him to weigh whether something is over the line or inappropriate at any given time is expecting a lot because I just don't think he has it in him. Which is why people just love listening to him. People are, like, "So that's what it's like not to give a f***" and then watch the ensuing train wreck. And maybe the victims are lucky that he doesn't. Some people might have over thought the situation or just didn't want to get involved. Charles Ramsey acts out of instinct not careful reflection. And at that time, that is what Amanda Berry needed.

Which may explain his multiple felony convictions

Maybe he actually went to one of those prisons that do what they're supposed to.

Yknow, rehabilitation rather than punishment.

Very possible, just saying that the idea that he just sort of does what comes to mind may be part of why he wound up in one of those prisons.

No doubt in my mind that poor impulse control likely led to those incidents, though hopefully through rehabilitation he learned to control at least his violent impulses.

Charles Ramsey became an Internet celebrity after he helped save Amanda Berry, who was being held captive in a living nightmare in Cleveland. Ramsey’s popularity was due in large part to the colourful way in which he recounted putting down his Big Mac to come to Berry’s assistance. Now, Ramsey may not have to ever pay for a burger ever again.
Quote:
More than a dozen restaurants in Ohio have promised Ramsey free burgers for the rest of his life, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The restaurant where Ramsey works as a dishwasher had at first created a burger in his honour – the Ramsey Burger – and now the restaurant’s partner, who operates four of the restaurants offering Ramsey free burgers, has decided to offer Ramsey this larger tribute.

Surprisingly, of all the restaurants lining up to offer Ramsey free food, McDonald’s is not one of them. But that’s not to say the burger giant isn’t going to reward Ramsey in some way.
Good for the guy

Well, America. I don't like a lot of the things you do, but I do like this - Castro has been sentenced to 1,000 years in prison, his assets forfeited, and his horror house is getting bulldozed.

Well done, USA.

So there's a chance that he can get out.

I guess the plea deal prevents the old ride on lightning.

The guy was a monster plain and simple, he's going to spend the rest of his life in one of the super max prisons with very little human contact.

I don't know if this has been brought up in the thread yet:

4 homeless men found captive in Houston house

Every time a case like this pops up, a thought eats away at me. I know that somewhere out there, people are being held against their will right now and we're only going find out about them years later, if ever.

The Ohio man accused of raping and holding three women captive in his home for about a decade has agreed to a plea deal that will see him imprisoned for life without the possibility of parole.

In the courtroom in Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday morning, Judge Michael Russo repeatedly warned Castro he would never be let out of prison.
unless he pulls a prison break,

This reminds me all to well of Jessie Foster who was abducted and more than likely forced into human trafficking, here's to hoping they find her some day...

Locked up and hopefully someone makes him their bitch. That's what I call an eye for an eye.

That won't happen. He's probably going to one of the super max's in Colorado. He'll be locked down 23 hours a day, more then that he'll probably get his food slid to him through a slot in the door.

The usual punishment for someone with a 1000 year sentence.

Ya, I know but one can always hope that they 'accidently' let him in the showers the same time as few of the nastier residents, every so often. Dahmer must of been segregated from the general population too but still managed to get shanked, if I remember correctly.
