The goalie injury is unfortunately climbing in these playoffs. Both #1 goalies in this series are injured and now as Foss said, the Wild are using Kuemper. Can't blame the rookie for this game. Nice SHUTOUT for Crawford. It'll be interesting to see who starts in net for the Wild in game 5. Millen had the dumbest assesment of Backstrom dressing and sitting on the bench. Millen should have his mouth taped shut.

Henry...Q's line matching has been negated, to some degree, by the sheer volume of icing calls this series...that said, he has been just rolling 4 lines, and trying to get the Keith/Hjammer D pairing out against Koivu's line...
As you said though, the 'Hawk scoring depth is unanswerable by this Wild squad...they are trying to get Suter/Brodin out against all 'Hawk threats...but their minutes are piling up, and the 'Hawk 3rd AND Frolik/Kruger on the 4th line are more than enough to dominate possession vs. the Wild lesser lights.
This is as it should be in a 1 vs. 8 matchup...

Goalie injuries aside, Chicago is a far superior team to Minnesota. From the coach on down. They have considerably more high-end skill than we do. I'd say, pure offensive skill-wise, our top line is somewhere between their 2nd and 3rd lines as a comp.
I'm happy with where the Wild is heading, but this outcome is not a surprise.
The only thing I'm disappointed in is that I haven't developed any hatred for the Hawks. But that's likely because they're just on another level than we are, so it's not the trench warfare and grab-a$$ that some of the other, closer series are.

The beginning of this game will not be available for HNIC viewers if the Senators-Habs game goes past 1940h Mountain time. The CBC will only show this game on its website until the eastern game is over. Unfortunately, CHEX-TV will not help out in this conflict which has previously helped the CBC.
I phoned CBC Sports and complained about this situation and was told that there have been more complaints about this than what they expected.
For those who have RDS2, that channel will show the Wild-Blackhawks game in its entirety.

I still have faith in Parise being a game breaker. Here's hoping he can elevate himself to the level I think he's capable of.

That goalie change suddenly made me feel really old because I remembered how you used to be able to take some shots on the new goalie... 30 years ago.

Yeah, so teams would use it as a form of timeout, which is why they changed the rule.
How long ago was that? Late 70s? It's been a while.

Definitely had it in the very early 80s when I started watching. Not sure when it went away, but my guess is it was gone by 85 or 86.

My aunty has MS.. so I'm shocked that he's battling the way he is. I guess it varies and all.. but darn, I'm impressed with his desire and passion to continue playing. It is the Hawks after all, not that I'm excusing a plethora of goals he's let in--it just seemed like a foregone conclusion that the Hawks were going to pound them.
Harding is a warrior and I hope he has success against his illness and can play for a long time.
