As good as this series has been to watch, the Flames drafting at a lower pick take precedence.

Can't fathom how any Flames fan wouldn't want to see St. Louis lose as quick as possible under the circumstances.

Blues lose = best chance of Flames drafting higher.

Pretty black and white if you're a Flames fan.

That, and there should be no vested interest in cheering for Bouwmeester unlike Iggy. Even then, Iggy isn't a Flame anymore, so go Isles!

LOL...i just looked it up and by my calculations, Bouwmeester has been on the ice for 1 goal against in over 120 minutes of playing time thus far.

What a bum.

I didn't say I want the Blues to win overtime...

Either way what I think has no impact on anything.

Isn't most of this forum cheering for the Pens anyway?

Where would that put the Blues pick?

20? 21?
As it stands right now (assuming the Blues get knocked out in the first two rounds)their pick would be 23rd.

Simple rule: one division leader, Vancouver, is already eliminated (). Nothing changes when a 2nd division leader is eliminated , but after that, each division leader eliminated (in the first two rounds) improves the pick by one.

So go NYI, NYR, Tor, Ott, LA, Det and Minny! If 4 of these teams make the conference finals, the pick would be 19th (best case scenario - and the Pitt pick would be 25th in that scenario).

Conversely, if StL makes it to the 3rd round, their pick will be between 27th and 30th

We knew the Pens pick would be around the end of the first round.

The Blues pick can and should be closer to 20.
