Bob Hartley: 348 Wins in 698 games coached: .498 win %
Alain Vigneault: 422 wins in 806 games coached: .523 win %
Not much of a different result, AV still has a higher winning percentage and has coached more games. Seems like a better track record to me.
Keep in mind that most of Vigneault's coaching career has been during the shootout era, where most of Hartley's was not.
Vancouver has won 35 shootouts during Vigneault's time with the club. Which drops his ROW number to 387 out of 806 games coached, for a 48.0% record.
In Hartley's time coaching during the shootout era, his teams have won 12 shootouts. That drops his ROW number to 336 out of 698 games coached, for a 48.1% record.
When you take shootout wins out of the equation, their regular season records are virtually identical.

Fair enough, but winning shootouts is part of being a successful team in todays NHL, whether it seems fair or not.
Dude when it comes to the Canucks, it could be a team of Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Augusto Pinochet, Josef Stalin and Kim Jong Il and if one of them scores against the Canucks you take it.
I think he said earlier that Ferraro denied having any preference for who wins games. I think that's obvious, given his unbiased and impartial commentary, especially during Canucks games.
Yeah, then there was this:

I will say it was the same last year in that AV wasn't present. However I believe this year he's going to be absent because he will be packing his bags.
Go through the game threads from last year and the year before. There's plenty of "the league wants this team out that team to win" stuff
A handful of delusional fans, most of whom have been banned from these forums don't really stand out in comparison to the legions of Canucks fans whining and crying and calling conspiracy.
For the rest of us? Sure people get heated and say some silly things, the big difference I see here is most of us that do say something silly in a PGT do so that evening, and the next day we have moved on and hope others have forgot about our little outburst. This is clearly not the case with the Canucks media/fans as they are still going on about it as well as talking about years past.
Also you are comparing Calgary fans to Vancouver media. Big difference, professionals should attempt to act professional.
Vigneault is gone now. No doubt. Also, Luongo is selling his house, i hear, so perhaps they've got a deal for him.

Hopefully MG will make the correct moves with an aging core. Sorry if it comes across as trolling, but it's true. Tony Gallagher:
"What they (Vancouver) should be trying to do is position this team such that in the very near future it doesn’t become the equivalent of the Calgary Flames."
Gerald Valk on sportsnet sounded like a pissed off whiny little kid. John Garret not much better. But Valk started by throwing Vignieult under the bus, but the surpriing part was that he said "Wingels is hurt on that play, but to throw yourself against the boards like that..." What?!?!?
Sportnet is to the Nucks as TSN is to the Leafs.
It is Gary Valk. I like your last sentence, just make sure that to say Sportsnet Pacific because Sportsnet Ontario is to the Leafs and they are homers as well.
