Joking or not, I heard it as a half joke, talking about where someone lives and how "they might not be living there much longer" after spending nearly 10 minutes chewing them out would be considered a threat to a lot of people I imagine. Goalies just aren't worth a lot in trades. And this whole idea of avoiding a rebuild is something of a myth. There are simply too many ageing players and too many NTCs on the team to side-step the inevitable. I might agree if there were currently some players already in the system, but the Canucks' prospect base needs to be built from near-scratch.
