Wow. Wow. Wow.

They needed this, and need to use it going forward.

This win is immeasurably huge.

Down 7-0 early, in a stadium they never win in...with a pitcher on the mound throwing meatballs and a lineup that can't hit anything.

Then...what happened? A couple homeruns, Yunel Escobar making three errors (well 2, should have been 3) and then the big shot from JP with 2 outs and 2 strikes after it looked like the Jays wouldn't be able to cash the runner on 3rd - no out scenario.

Teams build streaks off wins like these. Not saying they are going to, but if they want to go on a run soon...what a great chance they have now.

Wow - just got back from ball practice, and wasn't expecting that. Shows some character in that clubhouse

That can galvanize a team. Let's hope they can carry on with the momentum.

At least they gave the faithful one thrill this year. Literally just gone quietly down playing like putz's losing series after series so about time they showed something. And that something was pretty special. I went out and it was 7-3 and I thought they were showing some signs of life. Got back home and flicked on my ipad and top story on facebook was JP homer. Watched it four or five times!

JP's bat has been great this year...what a huge shot!

I'm such a JP hater too but if he keeps up this pace at hitting HRs I may have to change my tune.

It feels like the last few games their approahces to at bats have been much better. Don't be afraid to take borderline strikes early in the count, battle with two strikes until you get one to drive, etc. I feel like they've hit more line drives in the past few games than in the entire year.

Let's hope the trend continues. I think bats that are more alive will also help with their pitching. Less pressure for them to be perfect; they can give up a few runs and not feel like they've lost the game already.
