Does anyone have video of Burrows sticking Couture in the groin during a faceoff in game 2? It was right after Bieksa's penalty on Couture after the whistle. Surprised that hasn't been a bigger issue. Dude is dirty.
This is a perfect example how not battle ready the sister's are that they would have to be traded together.
AV depends no relies on getting on the PP to get these 2 pillow soft twins going. Which is why he schools the roster on diving and embellishment. If VAN does not succeed in getting plenty of PP time they are dead in the water.
Possibly the 2 most pampered players in the NHL are the Sedins they have to play together, they had to be drafted together, they have to be traded together. These 2 seriously are a poor example as men.
Honestly if you want to nullify the Sucks just punish Burrows and the Twins will cave in on their own because they look for Burrows to provide the spark.
This series is fantastic including the media having to eat their own words about VAN and "Beast Mode" lmao.
The problem with the Vancouver Canucks is the same as it's been for over five years now:
a total and complete lack of character and heart.
They created an atmosphere of valuing embellishment and going down easy over battling hard and it has constantly come back to bite them.
They had a great run on trying to get as many power plays as possible for a few seasons and had a great PP but at the end of the day they were a very soft team that lacked grit when the going got tough.
A team that's built around the soft Sedins, a chronic diver in Kessler and a hair pulling biter like Alex Burrows isn't going to win anything.
It's poetic justice to see them sharply declining like this.
What do their antics have to do with them not scoring goals? They're losing games and rapidly declining because they have scored 5 goals(1 in garbage time) so far this series. They didn't score enough last year in the post season as well.
I'm not arguing about their character or diving or whatever, I'll let you draw your own conclusions on that, but I don't see how any of that effects their clear lack of offence this past season and into the post season. Their PP hasn't been good enough, the Sedins haven't been nearly adequate and secondary scoring is nearly as bad as their primary.
You say that is the problem with the Canucks, but the diving and antics, whatever you want to call it is far from the biggest problem on this team. That's just scratching the surface, there are so many more important things going on with this team that is leading them down this current path.
