I have said from the start (not trying to pat myself on the back) they treated Luongo wrong throughout this whole situation.
Luongo has done everything to earn that start but you are probably right they go with Schneider.
Someone is getting a good goalie next year if/when they dump Luongo.

still don't mind losing a guy who was one of the worst defensive centers in the league
Hodgson won't ever play on a successful team until he can play a 2 way game

Agreed.
Would take him over Hartley, but neither are going to be the right coach for a rebuilding this team (barring the Flames using all their cap space to buy some vets after getting all the draft picks).

FWIW, the rule on players playing the puck in the crease is:
"No defending player, except the goalkeeper, will be permitted to fall on the puck, hold the puck, pick up the puck, or gather the puck into the body or hands when the puck is within the goal crease."
So nothing about sweeping the puck out with the hand resulting in a penalty shot

The Sharks sure have let up the last half of this period, barely skating or trying.

In hindsight, Schneider for a 1st and 2nd (that's the value I thought he could have garnered before signing the contract), would help Canucks to re-tool their blue line or forward.

first thought of mine: yes vancouver, luongo is the problem 6 goals against in 2 games vs 5 goals against in 1

Non call was a make up for the missed glove in the crease I guess.

Lol. This team has zero heart.

that 3.38 gaa is slightly worse (0.05) then what the flames managed this year...safe to say that heart has been completely ripped out with loads of unspeakable things done to it.

IIRC you can not touch the puck in the crease at all. As soon as you touch it, in the crease, it's a penalty shot. But it's not reviewable like the maroons on tsn said.
