It's not exactly inconsistency though. He's always been an excellent player on playoff teams an a poor/lazy player on poor teams. For whatever reason, he just doesn't bring a full effort when he knows his team is going nowhere. As long as Montreal is competitive, though, I think he'll continue to impress.

His own team hates him. He played pretty well this season, but honestly I even with his talent I wouldn't want him on my team with all his baggage.
I forget which program it was, maybe on TSN, it was a behind the scenes type thing, and you can tell his teammates just don't like him, they put up with him, but they don't like him.
Can't recall who said it but one guy on Montreal said "if I was on another team you would be my first pro fight". It was said kind of jokingly.. but not.

I'm rooting for Montreal, but only because I'm hoping for an eventual Pens/Habs matchup that would give me an excuse to go root for Iginla and look at naked ladies.
