2 minutes for being Matt Cooke. I get that it's a penalty but that was happening for 60 minutes plus overtime in St. Louis last night.

The Islanders certainly look like a team where nobody's played playoff hockey so far, however, they did seem to improve during that period

I hate that word to begin with. Spamming it on this topic is getting old quick.
If you don't care, don't post. Posting to tell us you don't care = caring FYI.

Or the post whining about the "meh" post. The gushing over Iggy while adding nothing to the discussion on the game/series is equally as annoying. Like it or not this is the Isles vs Pens thread, not the "we love Iggy" thread. As long as discussion is about the games or series nobody is doing anything wrong regardless of if you like it or not.
Anyway on topic...
No fight at all from the Isles that frame. We all knew they would be totally outclasses in every aspect and that Tavares would have to be the best player in the league for them to stand a chance but that really was one of the most one sided periods of playoff hockey I can remember. Disappointing as I was hoping the Isles would be just crazy after not making the playoffs for so long.

Oh this is ugly. Poulin is also terrible so this is going to get uglier.

Man I'm sick of this season, and how conflicted I am as a fan all the time.
I love Iggy, and want him to hoist the Cup, but at the same time, if that happens it's going to be bittersweet because it's not as a Flame, but as a Penguin.....and I'm not exactly in love with that team given that they lucked out and won a lottery to gain a generational player.
Plus, any Penguin playoff success just devalues a very important asset that belongs to my favorite team.

So this is what it feels like to cheer for a team that is actually good. Its been so long. Man do I ever envy Penguins fans for having such a dominant team.

I want the NYI to steamroll the Penguins, knowing fully well how unlikely it is.
I hate the Penguins franchise almost as much as I do our western Canadian rivals
