Default Trustworthy Kennels in/near Calgary?

I'm looking for a kennel for my 80 lb. Husky as I'll be out of town for three days. He's friendly as all heck but he can't be off-leash or he's gone.

Does anyone have first-hand experience with a kennel that they can vouch for?

Thanks.

This is where I always took my ridgeback:

A really nice place, and a first-class operation.

My first choice is StoneHaven, second choice is Beinnein. Both are on 22X, about 6 miles west of Calgary. StoneHaven is on the south side of 22X, Beinnein is on the north side of 22X, almost across from one another.

Took one of my dogs there once, albeit 10+ years ago. He came home with kennel cough and all of his shots were up to date((

^When I lived in Calgary, that place is where I kept my Rottie when I was outta town. Never had any problems. So I second Vlad's recommendation It's a bit far for some people, but your dog is worth it.

Not sure how convenient the location is for you, but I know this is a place where the dogs become part of the family. Nothing but good things to say.

I can't say I have 'experience' with this kennel, but I have gone out to visit it as of yesterday. It's in the far south, just out of town. The staff seemed to genuinely love animals. I will be leaving my 8 month old Golden Retriever there for 5 days coming up in September, after much consideration. It's incredibly tough to find somewhere to leave something you care so much about.

Anyways, here's the site

I continue to recommend Room to Run which is the kennels part for the animal rescue Heaven Can Wait in High River. A beautiful and peaceful setting and I have never seen so many happy dogs. You get a holiday, your pet gets a holiday, makes lots of friends, runs and plays and all this helps Kim to rescue animals in dire need. Win, win.

^^ it is a ways out, but it's very well priced and everybody is very knowledgeable. My lab has stayed there about 4 or 5 times without issue.

I used the Springbank pet resort last weekend and my dog came back healthy and happy. The staff seemed genuine and engaged with the animals. I would use them again if i had to.

Wet Noses out by Carseland

my dogs are my children and they were amazing. They have outside space to run and my dogs are an escape artist and they stayed in no problem

they call their place a bed and biscuit and spaw

Just for anyone looking for a great kennel, I ended up using Happy Tails in Cochrane. Mike is really great with the animals and good at organizing various breeds so that they're compatible with one another.

The best part for me is that there's a 2.5 acre enclosed space so unlike the two other kennels I visited, the dogs have plenty of time and space to run around. The whole area is part of a wildlife reserve and they have students coming from all over the world to gain experience there so there's definitely a love of animals.

Highly recommended...

Thought I would bump this thread since it's been awhile.
Anyone have any good recommendations?

We thought we had a recommended house sitter as a possibility but schedules didn't work out.

We have one kennel out near Crossfield in mind but thought I would double check here first!

Go to Happy Tails if you don't particularly like your dog.

CountryClub and Gone Wild were both good in our experience.

We have been using Springfiled Kennels out in Cochrane for years. They have always been great to us and our dogs.
