I'd hardly call 29th place attendance great...
 (from espn)
And the place looks much emptier than that on many nights. I wonder what the turnstile count is...

The new potential buyers group won't close this deal. I know that for a fact.

Seriously a $40 dollar ticket for $20 and a max limit of 8 per person? What a deal! Any chance the Flames offer a promotion like this?

Paul Giblin @PaulGiblinAriz 4h What do business executives Anthony LeBlanc, George Gosbee, Avik Dey and Daryl Jones have in common?
Paul Giblin @PaulGiblinAriz 3m LeBlanc, Gosbee, Dey and Jones formed a company called Renaissance Sports and Entertainment for the purpose of buying the #Coyotes.

Daly gives Coyotes ownership update
http://www.azcentral.com/insiders/sa...ership-update/
Asked if the process is any closer, Daly said, “Yes.
“It’s still a work in progress,” Daly told the panel. “There’s still a lot of work to be done, but it’s still something that we’re diligent about trying to complete.”
Daly confirmed the purchase price would be more than $150 million but said, “there are no guarantees” the team will remain in Phoenix. He mentioned the City of Glendale as a “big question mark.
“There’s no doubt we’re dealing with Mr. Gosbee and Mr. LeBlanc and trying to work through and get to a deal with them,” Daly said. “But there are other interested people that we’re working with at the same time, as well. Nobody has exclusivity here. But obviously we’re getting close to having to make some decisions and sign some documentation, and we’ve got to work on it. I was on a conference call again last night. It’s something we’re working on.”

Gosbee, Pastor, and Jamison were all in seperate suites for the final home game.
Can't believe this is still going on, nearing the 4 year anniversary of the BK. May 8th I believe it was.

Arena managers could include Coyotes ownership groups or third parties. The Glendale City Council approved a deal last year in connection with Jamison’s failed bid to buy the team that would have paid Jamison an average of $15 million a year over 20 years.
Recent Glendale budget documents have used a $6 million arena management fee as a placeholder, but sources indicate the city might be willing to go as high as $10 or $12 million.
$10 or $12 Million should be enough for GWI to step in.

No it wouldn't. This would not fall under GWI jurisdiction as it is not a gift of taxpayers money. Glendale has hired a consulting firm to hire an Arena Management Company, which wouldn't be the Coyotes Hockey Team. The management company would contract a lease with the hockey team and it would be all above board. This is the same structure as the Florda Panthers deal.
The GWI threat is really a non-issue.

A shell game?
Who would be paying the AMC $6 Million over market value? If it is Glendale, isn't that taxpayers' money?
http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...410401&page=30
Possibly not if Gosbee & Company close on a sale & negotiate a lease that pays them that kind of coin prior to May 24th & then the City withdraws the RFP. Theoretically they could then argue (again) that the AMC & Fee's attached to it are enjoined to the retention of the "critical" anchor tenant. Goldwater didnt drop a writ on the 2 X's $25M payments so I would assume the City would have a defensible position should Goldwater launch suit over $12M payments, as in a precedents been set and you people did nothing but squawk then, so why now are you launching suit? Additionally, Goldwater would have to prove that $12M is out of line & constitutes a subsidy, and that wouldnt be as easy as one might assume.
Now, Im just playing Devils Advocate as $12M definitely is out of line, but I think if you look at how courts have ruled on such matters they tend to be loathe to over-turn decisions of this nature by duly elected officials & prefer the electorate render judgement at the polls.... that being said, I think the reporter was absolutely speculating, Glendales capped it at a generous $6M to $6.5M, and if Renaissance or whomever can work it within those means then fine & if not, then the COG will move forward with Plan 'B'. The Wild Card here still is the NHL. We should know today, tomorrow at the latest what the Sam Hill their playing at pursuant to the AMUL & renewal or not, be it another 30, 60 days or 12 months, yet it would appear this inf is being with held, as we have no records since really August of last year as to how this has been executed since (comment in AzCentral of I believe August 7 by a Council member that the NHL's been renewing it monthly, not annually). Again, this cloak of silence, disappointing considering Weiers et al promised open & transparent government leading up to last Novembers Election. [Killion]

I think it has long been established that GWI is impotent at this point. They can scare off potential bond investors, but there is no indication they have even the slightest ability to legally stop Glendale. They didn't mount a challenge against the city "gifting" $25 million a year to the NHL, they won't do it for $6 million a year.

They've shown themselves to be incredibly unwilling to actually step foot in a court room. They are a political entity above all else. I'd be surprised to see them mount a legal challenge, I don't think it fits into their true goals.

GWI is out of the picture.. i've met folks who work there, without saying I was a coyotes fan and they said they are done. They've gotten their name out which is what they tried to do.
Carrie Ann Sitren their lead litigator also left the organization.
