Almost looks too good to be true, but those two pics are the real deal.

It is very cool, that ship looks exactly like some of the lego ones I built as a kid, at least that's what they were supposed to look like.

Yeah, it looks like the initial eye-witness account is pretty bang on with what this video shows. Nose up to somewhere north of 70 degrees, massive airspeed loss and then the accompanying stall. No doubt that crew was trying to fly it right to the end. Terrible to watch.

I think that video would totally support the shifted load report. Tail drops with the load shifting backwards, plane stalls.

Ah didn't see that it was a cargo plane, wow tall price to pay for the cargo not being secured (or something used to secure it failing).

I'm a great flyer and watching that with a flight on Saturday was a huge mistake.

Whelp, looks like they're more than just rumours if the CBC is reporting it and Peter MacKay is being asked about it during question period.

Me too...Glider Wings at Rivers Manitoba in the Summer of 1980; Power Wings at Penhold in 1981.
There are other things that could be cut from our military budget...this is a large part of the incentive for young people to join the Air Cadet program in the first place. Obviating it will be yet another nail in the coffin of what once was a proud tradition in our country..
I finished my Cadet experience as the Squadron Warrant Officer for 664 RCAC, (Cold Lake). A valuable experience...on many levels.
The life lessons learned serve me well to this very day.

This is wrong

Pardon my ignorance but was some of the cargo explosive? Or was it just the jet fuel exploding on impact? I was sort of surprised that it became an instant fireball as it wasn't crashing from *that* high up. Plus they almost got the thing into somewhat of a landing position before impact.

In any case, I'm a terrible flyer. Definitely should not have watched that.
