Personally, I love golfing in the heat, so I think I would like it. I have never persoanlly golfed in Vegas, but have been told golfing close to the city is not great value, but if you're willing to drive, there are nice courses that offer more wallet friendly green fees. I have also hard that some courses have carts that are air conditioned.

I was in Vegas in July a few years ago as well, and the girl at the front desk of the hotel asked my friend and I if we wanted golf passes...HELL NO. I couldn't stand the dry heat and there's no way I could have golfed in 100+ degree weather.

It will be very hot, but then it depends if that bothers you. Went to Scottsdale last July and golfed 18-36 holes every day in 45-50C weather. Take tons of fluids and watch for rattlers, but you do save a ton of $$$ going that time of year.

It'll be hot. Badlands is a bada$$ course. Rhodes ranch as well. Check out golfnow.com pretty decent prices and all prices include carts. Paiute is nice but a bit of a drive. Prices will be cheaper n July.

Redjohn, is bears best really worth it? There are so many nice courses that I've played for $50- $60 I can't see paying that much to play bears best. We are going in a few weeks and buddy wants to play that one.

Heading to Vegas this week with some buds for golf. Staying at Aria.

We are mid 30s to mid 40s, not really club guys, prefer classic rock and dance to house and techno.

Any suggestions for some great nightlife and scenery (our age range)? Have been to the "smaller" spots like Surrender at Encore and know of a couple new places at Bellagio. Any helpful hints would be most appreciated!!

We went over to Freemont Street and were pleasantly surprised. There was a free outdoor concert there in which the bad was playing all 80s classics. The band "Arena" was amazing. If you go to www.freemontexperience.com , you can see what bands, etc. are expected to play. Also, while you are there, get tickets for Gordie Brown. He is an amazing comedian/impressionist/musician.

At least one night, I'd visit the piano bar at NYNY. I'm in my early 30s. We were slightly younger than the crowd, which was mostly 35-50. We still had a blast there, as the atmosphere was great.

I've never been inside but I did watch from the outside. It was packed and the place was rockin' Defintely somewhere you might look at. Honestly, any club will work, no matter what you age in. It just might be harder to get in with all guys

Where are you golfing? We played Badlands and Siena Park which were both excellent when we were down there last. We actually stayed at Aria too!

You'd be surprised how cheap it is to bribe doormen in Vegas. The great thing about being older is that $20 extra bo bribe a bouncer is not a huge sum of money. Sure beats waiting in line for an hour with your crew of all guys.

But yeah, the clubs in Vegas will usually have a fair contingent of people in the 35-50 range.

Got back from Vegas a few days ago and booked these guys online, they were great, met us at the airport, free champagne in the limo, stopped at a liquor store for us on the way to the hotel and were very nice. I'd use them again.

We stayed at NYNY, walked through there before but never stayed. We liked it, we spent a lot of time inside the hotel just drinking and gambling, it was very easy to get around, lots to see and had a pretty good atmosphere. We went with some buddies and their wives and didn't do as much 'touristy' things as I'd like, but I've been before so it wasn't a huge deal. Still managed to walk the strip a bit, caught Terry Fator's show, spent a night on Freemont.

The piano bar at NYNY was a blast, anyone who knows any 80's or classic rock songs will love spending a couple hours in there having a few wobbly pops and singing out loud, very fun. The last night we were there it seemed to be a fairly large contingent of Canadians in the crowd........the guys played our national anthem, some Tragically Hip and even the Hockey Song. Lots of fun.

It's been really hot there the past few days but looks like it may cool down a few degrees in a couple days, will still be around 30+. Drink plenty of liquids (of the non-alcoholic variety as well)

+1 for the the piano bar at NYNY. It is a blast. I have never been inside, but I've eaten at some of the quick eats situated around the piano bar and I've enjoyed the atmostphere "from afar." It is loud so you don't have to be inside the bar to hear what is going on so that was good enough for me.

I hear there is/was a piano bar at Harrah's. Also sounds like it is a good time. I'd imagine, when in Vegas, any piano bar you stumble upon would be pretty good.

I too have stayed at NYNY. The rooms were just your basic rooms, but the fun part was getting to the room. Ours was the 2nd last room at the far north end of the hotel. The hallway to the room isn't one long straight (or slightly curved) hallway that you see at most hotels, it is a bunch of twists and turns. It felt like an adventure getting to the room.

I'm not sure how fun that would be at 4am after a few wobbly pops Ours was right off the elevator and I loved it....... off the elevator, stumble in the room, fall on the bed and fall asleep......it was a good spot.
