Why be snide when you were wrong? All he did did was correct you, you should have double checked your facts at that point before reiterating your point.

Canucks in 6.

Sharks are too old and slow.

Both teams dont impress me. The Canucks are limping into the playoffs and haven't played a meaningful game in quite some time. They do have some talent and can string together a few good wins but this team is simply not that good. They will only go as far as Shneider will take them, second round tops. I think the Sharks have a great chance at winning the series.

Plus, it's a very cherry picked stat, to begin with. Out of the second round twice means conference finals. I haven't looked it up, but I'm willing to bet that most of the NHL hasn't made it to the conference finals more than twice since '93.

Neityer team appears capable of winning the cup, but based on season series and general hate for the Nucks I'll pick SJ in 6.

Screw the nucks.

however, i'd be shocked if the sharks take this series, they just don't strike much fear as an opponent.

this will be the last season we will see marleau/thornton/boyle/havlat all together as sharks. Hope they play their guts out and shock the nhl by winning this thing.

unfortunately, i could also see a fairy tale scenario where schnieder can't play and luongo becomes lights out for the nucks. that would suck.

Probably the best choice out of LA, St. Louis and SJ for the Canucks to face but still have to expect them to lose.

Including 1994, there have been 18 seasons - so 72 spots in the conference finals or 2.4 per team on average.

Colorado/Detroit really skew that

Western Finals since 1994

Detroit 8
Colorado 6
Dallas 4
San Jose 3
Chicago 3
Anaheim 3
Vancouver 2
Toronto 1
St.Louis 1
Minnesota 1
Calgary 1
Phoenix 1
Edmonton 1
LA 1

Of course there is always going to be a couple teams in any 20 year period that really dominated). My point was simply that 2.4 is the average expectation, so to say they only made it twice is, well, putting a slant on it.

Edit: nm

But he didn't correct me, he pointed out that I was wrong (twice) without saying why.

The original comment was that the Canucks "knows how to win when it's crunch time".
