Well that was mostly just for Kiprusoff, not really being happy with the result of our horrible season.

Yup, but it was likely Kippers last game as a Flame.

hasn't this season been a massive disappointment? specifically the last few weeks?

blind faith is why Lowe and his cronies don't have any fear of losing their job
The Oilers were booed off the ice 2-3 times this past month. They gave them a standing ovation because they at least tried tonight and put in an effort and it was the last game of the season.

Colorado gave their team a standing ovation tonight and they lost.

is that good enough?

I would understand even if they were in the columbus position tonight barely missing out, just surprised after the last two weeks

Haha, so Luongo plays Spacey's role then? Someone needs to photoshop Luongo's face on Kevin Spacey's body when he's covered in Gwyneth Paltrow's blood.

When they showed the oil change clip of MacT in the oilers dressing room, I wonder how many guys were planning a Vegas trip.

When they said the Oilers beat Canucks 7-2 he says "oh great now we have to listen to them talk about how great their offense is all summer long"

Certianly a change from previous media types up in Edmonton, or maybe cheesed off at Lowe for that press conference, anyways, here's this guy's report card on the Oilers. Whatever it is, its not all the barrage of " we'll be better next year, watch" softballs that Terry Jones or the other guys up there would toss out with a shrug of the shoulders after a season like this in previous years:

http://www.edmontonsun.com/2013/04/2...rs-report-card

There's still a vast amount of overrating, of players who are dreadful or of those severely under performing and those who are going nowhere, but obviously media friendly (or at least to this guy) got good grades. Hall with an "A"? Gagner "took a step forward" his 6th year in the league?

Highlight:
Management team (F-)

Seven years worth of wheel spinning. Finishing last all the time is not a plan. And taking credit for Hall, Nugent-Hopkins and Yakupov is like the Exxon Valdez skipper taking credit for a shiny new hull.

A big LOL at the way the Oilers celebrated their goals tonight. Wow those Oilers are shameless. You're in 12th place and it's the last game of your pathetic season, act a bit more like the losers you are and don't over celebrate especially since you're playing a team who's going to the playoffs.
