What a whirlwind of a season. Short and so many ups and downs. Glad it's over. Happy I got to see Kipper and Iggy in Flames jerseys, in the flesh, one last time.
Looking forward to the draft and cheering on Iginla in the playoffs.

If Nashville wins and Carolina gets a point, we will draft in the top 5.

If Tampa wins (vs Florida), and Nashville beats Columbus tomorrow... I believe that would put us in the top 3. Top 4 if either of them win. And that's pre-lottery.
Though it's not an enviable position to be in, drafting this high is pretty exciting.

Right now we're 6th. Tampa cannot pass us because of tiebreakers (ROW, regulation+overtime wins). If Nashville (CBJ) wins AND Carolina (PIT) gets at least a point we can be 4th pre-lottery. If Nashville wins OR Carolina gets at least a point we can be 5th pre-lottery. Obviously we stay 6th if they both lose.

getting up to 4th would be incredible. we would have a 10.7% chance to win the lottery and only a 31.3% chance of someone behind us winning.

The Bhawks and Canucks can only meet in the 3rd round.

The only game I saw live was the one visit down here in San Jose. Unfortunately, Iginla and Bouwmeester had already been traded at that point. The only guy I got to see live was Kipper, and he did have an amazing game against the Sharks...almost pulled out a win.
Good luck former Flames greats! Here's hoping the team is competitive next year. Goaltending is the biggest question mark IMO.

Nashville also has the ability to leapfrog us, improving our draft pick.

Flames are officially 6th due to ROW tie breaker with Carolina.

Yup, I was referring to last night when we were slotted 5th as Carolina had a game in hand on us.

Dunno, looked more of a flatline fail to me. I'm glad it's over nonetheless.
