Well the Flames are now locked into 6th last in the league

So the odds of winning the lottery are now

The 2013 Scotiabank NHL Draft Lottery™, a weighted system to determine the order of selection for the first 14 picks of the 2013 NHL Draft™, will take place Monday, April 29, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The League, in cooperation with TSN, will announce the results of the Draft Lottery live during a 30-minute program produced and televised by TSN in Canada. The special presentation also will air in the U.S. on NBC Sports Network and will re-air on NHL Network™ U.S. at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Chances Flames draft 1st overall is 6.2%
Chances Flames draft 6th overall is 76.8%
Chances Flames draft 7th overall is 17%

We have never drafted higher than 6th and I am ok with that

On one hand, be thankful we've still got that 6th pick, and COL matched the offer sheet for ROR. Imagine watching COL pick 2nd and 6th, while ROR is on some team other than the Flames, after they scoop him up on waivers.

On the other hand, that same person that created that almost nightmare is still driving the Flames bus and making the pick, which is far from a consensus at #6.

If the draft were rigged the Oilers wouldn't have won it last season after picking first two times previously.
