I know picking one of Monahan or Lindholm is the most sensible choice, but after reading about Darnell Nurse he is really growing on me. Big, fast, mobile two-way defenceman who plays tough every game and isn't afraid to drop the gloves.
6'5 195 who will likely grow and definitely add muscle. Supposedly he is just a freak, but has a great work ethic.
A top pairing of Brodie - Nurse would be a nice foundation for our team moving forward.
Edit: great article about him here as well:

Isn't it just where they finish in the playoffs, and then when they get knocked out in the same round it becomes straight points I believe.

Fair enough. I wouldn't be upset if we ended up drafting Nurse at 6 though. I have a feeling he's going to be a stud dman

Can someone post their top 30 for those of us not fortunate enough to have a copy yet?

Yes.
30th goes to the Stanley Cup champ
29th goes to the other Conference champ
28th goes to the higher ranked losing Conference finalist
27th goes to the lower ranked losing Conference finalist
26th - ? go to the remaining Division winners in reverse points order
? - 15th go to the remaining teams eliminated in the first two rounds of the playoffs in reverse points order
For example, the same thing happened last year, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia both had more points than Florida and Boston (in fact, only two playoff teams had fewer points than Florida), but the Panthers and Bruins picked 23rd and 24th.

Cup winner
Cup loser
Conference losers
Remaining division winners
Remaining teams ranked by points
14 non-playoff teams
So yes, Washington would be placed after the Blues, unless the Blues make it to the final 4, and the Caps do not

What we need to hope for in the playoffs is that the Blues, all six division winners and any other teams ahead of St. Louis go out in the first two rounds (not likely) but it would make St. Louis' pick 19th or earlier and Pittsburgh's 25th.

So we're at the 5th spot now?
-4th if Carolina wins their last game
-6th if someone behind us wins the draft lottery
?

We're 6th right now. Only 5th on NHL.com because we've played our extra game over Carolina.
When Phoenix wins the lottery we'll be 7th.

Yeah. I like both teams
I think the move from 23 and 29 to 29 and 30 is worth it for me to enjoy all four rounds of the playoffs.
We probably have the 6th pick and if we get Monahan. I'm happy

I think there is a pretty distinct difference betweeen Lindholm and Barkov (possible 5th or 6th) as prospects. There isnīt much difference between FEL and SEL in gameplay but Barkov is a year younger and has produced like a 1 line center. He is definately 1C material at this moment, although he might be an early bloomer.

I like the idea of picking a player like Barkov who is 11 months younger than many in the draft...to me, that suggests an extra year of development potential over the others
