Two important games tomorrow to determine the final standings.

Nashville plays in Columbus at 5:00 and needs a win to pass the Flames. Carolina plays in Pittsburgh at 5:30 and needs at least one point to pass the Flames.

Could end up with Barkov if he slips one position. Or the whole universe gets tossed upside down and MacKinnon falls two or three spots. At worst, Flames get pick of the litter at fifth in regards to Lindholm and Monahan.

So how big is the gap between the big three and Barkov?

How much better is Barkov compared to Monahan?

With the chance of Nichushkin jumping into the top 4, it's the chance at Barkov (assuming Jones, MacKinnon and Druin). Or the choice of Barkov, Lindholm or Monahan.

And 1.9% better chance at number 1.

If all the drama with Nichushkin amounts to anything, and teams feel he could really come over next year that might be enough for someone to pick him over Barkov, who would slide to 5th.

Lottery notwithstanding... Guaranteed 6th pick at worst! Thank you Oilers. 4th would be amazing but I'd even be happy with 5th. Hopefully we get a result or two tomorrow.

Just me but it is Mackinnon>>>> rest.

As far as I can tell Barkov is a better skater and maybe a better shot than Monahan, Monahan probably has a better rounded overall game though.

Agreed. If Drouin doesn't fall and Nichushkin jumps up Barkov could be there at 5. I don't see him dropping past 5.

The Hockey News has Barkov going sixth and Monahan seventh...for what it's worth. From reading elsewhere, I'd be surprised to see Barkov drop to sixth.

MacKinnon, Drouin and Jones will go on the top 3 in no particular order. But they will all be off the board come the 4th pick. Shame really if we did end up drafting 4th.

We could still trade up, but I doubt anyone of the top 3 trade down to 4.

Let's see what happens tomorrow and if results go our way again.

You heard it here first, don't be in shock if the flames take Nic Petan late in the first round...told he's a blinking green light on their radar.

Hopefully someone takes him right before us then. His point totals went through the roof this year, but enough of these manlet prospects. We need guys over 5'10". One or even two manlets on a team is fine, but not anymore.

Sorry if he has been answered but does Washington winning their division put them ahead of St. Louis in the draft or is it just straight points?

The proper term is "humunculous".
