Yours, or those of the people you cut-off when driving? Not judging here... who needs to bother shoulder checking when you're driving the biggest vehicle on the road, I sure wouldn't!

We have an 02 Sequoia that my wife drives our four kids around in. The smaller SUVs didn't have any room to put a stroller behind the back seat, and that's the biggest reason she wanted the Sequoia. It's a bit of a beast. We've had it for five years now, and have really enjoyed it.

You never see BMW owners who've parked in two stalls? Do you live in Calgary?

I rode in a friend's Sequoia once. I'm 6'2" and I felt tiny in it. It was pretty nice but waaaaay too big for me.

THe OP asked for opinions on different large SUV's. THe OP didn't ask for opinions on those who dislike large SUV's. My post was a sarcastic attempt to help steer the thread in the proper direction to get the info the OP requested and not have the usual disgression/hijacking that happens in message boards. .
Message boards tend to have too many people who are just looking to argue, hence the hijacking of threads. OP - "I would like to buy a large SUV". Hijacking thread internet superhero living in Mom's basement at 42 responds, "you are going to destroy the environment. You should by a smart car."

I agree, definitely common applications for SUV's. Family has 'em and I love using em when I need em. Please no-one take my opinion one 'em lightly.

Why would you need to shoulder check if you are already covering/part way into both adjacent lanes already?

Ok - Definitely a jerk with my hi-jacking. Back to the conversation at hand, discussing the OP's SUV need.
My input:
I love the fam's QX56 & MDX. I find I'm often relegated to the 11 yr old Yukon though haha.

I have an '06 Sequoia Limited and its been an awesome vehicle. I'd buy another one in a heart beat over an equivalent domestic including Navigator and Escalade. I don't much care for the cheapy chrome door handles and other bits and pieces on the newer ones though.
Remarkably, this vehicle was designed to be driven and parked in the same space as every other vehicle licensed for on-road use and I generally have no problem maintaining with either.

I originally thought I'd want a Sequoia, however towing is going to be necessary for me and I was shocked how much the towing Capacity sucks on the Sequoia...it's even more surprising because it's supposed to be the same platform as the Tundra but doesn't even come close. This is when I started considering the Armada, awesome towing stats.

We've got a '07 Suburban. It's been fantastic for us and with 2 small kids and one more on the way, it fits the double stroller, groceries, tvs, bikes, luggage, the sink, quite nicely. Definitely a beast to drive, but its great to have the room.
We wanted something to be able to have the 3rd row seat up, double stroller in the back and still have room for stuff. We used to have a Pilot (another great SUV), but when you put the 3rd row up, there was absolutely no room in the back to carry anything significant.

It wasn't this thread, I've had the feeling since the vehicle came out probably...
But does anyone else find the naming of an SUV after the sequoia highly ironic and moderately insulting?
We all know what happened to the majority of them right?
Just like man to destroy all the real ones and name his own cheap products over the lost majesty.
And anyone who thinks they need a vehicle this size for a stroller has truly lost their mind. I could fit one into my Beretta and my Mustang.
No wait it's one of those god awful ridiculously sized beohemoth strollers that matches your choice in SUV? Amirite?
Those are even stupider than the SUVs.
