Ju st bought an Armada PLatinum in January. With 7 year 160000 full warranty, paid just over $60,000 OTD.
Love it. No complaints at all. I also have a Titan which turned on to the Armada. It will pull a full 9500 lbs. Great SUV especiallly for the price.
Lots of features, drive well. Biggest complaint is common Nissan full size vehicle complaint they don't have the 4 cylinder drop down technology like others in its class. Its full time V8 power. Not really great on gas. I imagine the GM and Ford products are better on gas but i trust the quality of the Nissan over north american competitors.
I was looking at Expeditions for the past while (I love them and still miss my '99), but they or so overpriced for what is essentially an F-150 with a topper and some seats. I haven't looked at the others in the class.
Setting aside price and another new versus used debate, giant SUVs are awesome.

If i wanted a Subaru i would buy one. I don't want one.
I pull things with my vehicles. I drive a lot of highway km to Montana and Whitecourt area to see family. I would much rather hit a moose in my full size gas guzzling SUV and survive, than in my Subaru and die or mame my family. I don't mind paying high gas prices for the safety and i don't care about your four cylinder or your ideologies.
One thing to add on the Expeditions (again, I don't know anything about the other two you're looking at), is they hold their value awesome. I tried for a while to find a used Expedition and just gave up because their resale is so strong and bought a Pathfinder instead. Part of the reason they maintain their value IMO is they don't sell too many of them anymore so their rarity increases their worth on the used market. Good for you as new buyer.
A couple questions before I give my opinion. What will the main function be? Is it for towing, 2nd vehicle, just because you like big SUV's? Is this going to be a family vehicle? What year/price are you looking at? And finally have you thought about trucks as well or are you just looking at SUV's?

Sorry, if you don't want to defend or discuss your opinion, don't post it on internet discussion board.
And keep in mind that we live in a community, so your choices, including your choice to drive a gas-guzzling, street-clogging, two parking stall-occupying ######mobile, affect all of us.

Rant over.
Or if you had the smaller, easier to maneuver, nimble & smaller car, you could just swerve out of the way.
I'm a bit biased though. Mine's 450awhp, German, and small.
I'm not a truck or SUV guy at all, but after driving on some sphincter tightening canyon edge "roads" in Utah in a buddy's truck full of mountain bikes, I see why sometimes really nothing else will do.

Sure, and I don't think anyone has a problem with SUV owners who actually go off-roading or tow heavy loads or use their vehicles in situations like what you described. The reason SUV drivers are reviled is because the vast majority of them only use their over-sized urban assault vehicle for commuting and city/highway driving on paved roads.
I've got an armada platinum and we love it. not as much room as a mini van and lifting a 2 and 3 year old into the car seat can be tougher for my smaller wife but we have no regrets.
We also looked a the Sequoia and liked the armada a lot more, looks wise and the interior was nicer. If i had a complaint it would also be the mileage but i think any full size truck based suv will pay the penatly, even with active cylinder management. I had a nissan pathfinder (pumpfinder) prior to the armada so i was already used to buying gas.
