Default What are the funny things your pet does?

Portia, while not my dog, is a funny little girl. She likes to be under a blanket once the sun goes down. Completely covered. If I'm not here to help her she will paw at her blanket until it's completely over her.

Sound asleep breathing heavy as if giving a rhythmic "sigh" to the ending day.

NSFW!

Sad face... I woke her up to take a picture.

That dog looks like a potential killer!! Better merge this thread with the dog attack thread proactively.

When ever we have company, my cat will drag a stuffed animal in the middle of the room, and then hump it. I'm pretty sure he's trying for attention.

(Will post pics tomorrow...)
Edit: I thought I had a better pic, oh well.

And then after he's finished coitus with my slipper, he lays on his back to show you his "manhood" like he's proud of it.

Usually the dog mimics the personality of it's owner.

Fortuitous timing on this thread ....

Was walking my dog just last night and he went to do his business. He had obviously eaten some long grass at some point because his business finished with a klingon and a single, long blade of grass.

He spun around for about 30 seconds trying to grab the tetherball poop hanging out of his butt.

So I guess there's that.

A few things. . . . . . fighting in flight, finding dead things, under versus over, and porcupined . . . .

My dog did this funny thing where it ruined my childhood by not existing.

Last year, Ruby found a very, very, very fresh cow pattie, rolled in it, covering herself from head to toe, came over to me and shook herself off, leaving me with fresh cow poop dripping from head to toe as well.

Friends always share.

I certainly never found any of these things funny at the time, but my golden has done everything your pictures represented. Love to hate them sometimes.

Probably one of the funniest things I've seen is my dog waiting patiently to get let back inside with a frozen mouse in her mouth. It was probably -30C outside and somehow this mouse was frozen in a perfectly straight line. It was like she was picking her teeth with a mousesickle tail.

My dog happy dances over bones and half the time he'll eat them after happy dancing and half the time he'll take the bones and hide them deep in the cushions of a couch, chair or bed to let them "marinate" for a while before retrieving them at a completely random later point in time where he happy dances over them again.

This was the happy dance as a puppy, it's pretty much the same only add about 120 pounds:

My Family's border collie used to do this as well. When it finally fell to the floor he would grab it by the knot and bring it back without popping it.

He also used to chase and eat the sparks from firepits. He loved fires and would chase the sparks for hours. Sometimes he was crazy enough to singe off his wiskers.

Well not particularly funny to us but perhaps it is to our English Springer Spaniel, Maggie, because she keeps repeating it.

She seems quite proud that she has been sprayed twice by a skunk already this year. Once three weeks ago...she was just getting to the point of possibly being let inside again, and then on Wednesday, she repeated her previous feat.

Pete and Ruby got sprayed by a skunk a few days ago.

This invariably happens at about 10 or 10:30 at night, after we've let them outside for last call, because that's when skunks are out and about.

De-skunkifying a couple of Golden's in the sub-zero weather, late at night is not a favourite thing to do . . . . . fortunately, we've learned through time to have some big jugs of Skunk-off handy at all times. You can't drive into town at 10:30 p.m. to get some.
