The rankings were determined by votes. So I think Dexter had the 6th most votes. Lots of shows had the same amount of votes, so those rankings were determined by a random generator.
Something tells me this will all come down to breaking bad v game of thrones.
For my money, Sopranos and The Wire are the best of all time. All the other shows are just a step down.
I love All four shows, but did any of them ever have this?
Even Stanley Kubrick thought The Simpsons was the best show on TV. Sure it's not nearly as good as it once was, but you can't hold its current form against how truly great it was.
The Simpsons is the Wayne Gretzky of television. A decade of spectacular seasons, followed by mostly average/mediocre seasons; yet still it should be considered the best of all time.
Heck more often then not The Simpsons is better than the movies they spoof!

Ok the match-ups are now set and the voting can now begin. Try and vote in each match-up, even if you don't like either show. Flip a coin, close your eyes, do whatever you need to do.
Just doing 2 divisions for now. Will keep voting open until the voting slows down or 48 hours.
My votes:
Married With Children (it deserves someone voting for it)
Futurama
The Flintstones
Mad Men
Cheers
The X-Files
Freaks and Geeks (never actually seen it, so more of a vote against FG)
Deadwood
Breaking Bad
Frasier (same as MWC)
American Dad (toughest choice, but another show that deserves some recognition)
Lost
24
Faulty Towers (never seen Big Bang Theory)
Homeland
It sucks that Married With Children and Frasier will go out so early, when each were great, long running sitcoms. Meanwhile Game of Thrones has been on for all of 25 episodes, and The Walking Dead has only been on for 3 seasons now (and isn't that great honestly).

I agree, GoT would be better if it had a laugh track and/or was performed live in front of a studio audience.
