Essentially the team finished dead last....likely won't improve itself in the draft unless they hit on 3rd/4th round picks. That sucks.

What do the Chiefs need/what are their weak positions?

The thing that interests me the most tonight is who takes Mantei Teo in the 1st round. With all his baggage and the spotlight that will be on him for years, I can see some teams shying away that normally would be interested.
I do think the Bears at 20 wouldnt let him slip, and Minnesota has a huge need there as well and they have 2 picks after the Bears...so maybe even try and trade up to scoop a division rival?
Personally i dont think he is "that" guy skill wise nevermind all the rest of the nonsense surrounding him, so i hope he does go to one of those two teams.

Me either, but that is exactly what Junior Seau was. All vision and motor. I think Te'o is a player because of those two things.

Jason La Canfora tweeted that several executives told him they believe Oakland will take #3 DJ Hayden if they pick there. He also said they are will to trading down and one GM believes they will. This draft is going to be off the charts with so many surprises.

Looks like my hopes of the Colts taking him at 24 are way off.
Colts have been receiving a ton of calls from teams wanting to trade up to the #24 spot. Makes sense that the Colts would trade down as they have a lot of holes and no 2nd round pick (Vontae Davis trade)

Hopefully the Bills draft Geno Smith so I can finally quit on them.

Interesting tidbit from Siefert at ESPN on what may shape the lower part of round 1...
Quote:
Many media observers have suggested there are few, if any, first-round talents in this quarterback class. But as Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports noted earlier this month, the NFL's collective bargaining agreement (CBA) calls for first-round draft picks to receive what amounts to five-year contracts. Second-round picks get four-year deals and are thus eligible for free agency a year earlier.
That difference could be a matter of millions of dollars for teams who actually find and develop a long-term starter in this draft. So if you're a team targeting a quarterback with a relatively high second-round pick, it might be worth it to trade into the bottom of the first to ensure that extra year of contract coverage.
As many as three or four quarterbacks could be selected in this manner if everything falls into place

Ogletree also intrigues me. I was very surprised to see him go unpicked in the CP mock draft. He's a bigtime talent but those off-field issues are going to likely hurt him more than most think....or they won't and he'll go top 15.
This draft is going to be nuts.

One way to judge how well a team does in the NFL Draft over time is look back how how many future AP All-Pros it has picked.
For that statistic, no one has done better in recent history than the New England Patriots.
All-Pro teams over the last decade include 15 players originally drafted by the Patriots, more than any other team. The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers each drafted 12.
The Cleveland Browns drafted two future All-Pros during this span.
Not surprisingly, the biggest share of the All-Pros over the last decade - 116 of them - were taken in the first round.
Some 45 future All-Pros were selected in the second round, 30 in the third, 19 each in the fourth and fifth rounds, 13 in the sixth round, 5 in the seventh round and 1 in the 12th round.
The NFL Draft has been limited to seven rounds since 1994.

Yes it is, I wish I had an extra TV or two so I could watch baseball, hockey, and the draft without missing a moment of the draft.
Good day to have Twitter.

I love how nothing is certain in this draft and there will be some shocker off the board picks with huge risers and huge fallers. Much more exciting than last year with the 1st couple picks set in stone

I would be very very happy with Justin Hunter and T'eo/Brown.
Trading down might not be the worst idea either.

What an awful year for KC to get the first pick. They're going LT and their LT is top 10 at his position. So they're making a pick to save three or four million dollars a year.
And their QB is Alex smith.jfc

Quarterback
Other than that wide reciver, another MLB to pair with Derek Johnson, a 3 man front defensive end, another running back, safety depth, help at tight end, offensive line.
The team needs to upgrade at every position. But until they fix the QB position, the rest won't make much of a difference on the field.

This is why they're the Raiders
2004: Drafted: Robert Gallery; Next Pick: Larry Fitzgerald
2005: Drafted: Fabian Washington; Next Pick: Aaron Rodgers
2007: Drafted: FatMarcus ; Next Pick; Calvin Johnson
2010: Drafted; Rolando McClain; Next Pick: CJ Spiller
I mean Jesus Christ, the greatest offense ever right there!
