The Bolts are playing pretty fancy-free hockey right now, so i suspect one of those two will win the scoring title.

Ovechkin though has to be a serious front runner for the Hart....he has put that team on his back and carried them to the division title...something i wasnt sure he was capable/willing to do.

If he wins this year he'll have 2 Art Ross trophies, a Hart, Lester B Pearson, 2 Lady Byng's, a Cup, nearly a PPG average in the regular season, and 65 points in 63 playoff games. He's also 90 points from 1000 for his career, so he could very well hit that next year.

With all that in mind I'd say he's most definitely a shoe in for the Hall of Fame. And to think he never put up more than 40 points until 2002-03, and has been a PPG player in most of his last 10 seasons.

Absolutely. If he wins the Art this year, I'd say he is a lock. He will likely make it anyway though.

St.Louis, Selanne, Bret Hull,

One is exactly the same as the other.

I hear Crosby may be cleared to play this weekend. Could potentially make things a bit more interesting.

It's too little too late for Crosby. Even if he plays on Saturday, he'd need at least 3 points and two pointless games from St. Louis.

I haven't been paying too much attention to the Caps great streak of late, but hasn't Holtby been playing great too.

When St. Louis was with the Flames, I was a big fan of his. I knew there was something special about him. The way he dominated in the AHL it didn't say tweener to me, it said dominant. I remember a six-game two-goal scoring streak at one point.

My hope was that St. Louis could potentially be as good as Fleury. Amazing that he is in fact better than Fleury.

All players the Flames had signed to a contract?

This would not even be a race if Crosby would have stayed healthy. I guess part of being good is staying healthy though, but some injuries are just plain bad luck. He was just over taken yesterday, and he has been injured for 10+ games. Pretty damn impressive.
