With the 32nd pick of the 2013 Draft the Buffalo Bills select Ryan Nassib. How's that for a bold prediction for the draft?
These two goofballs sound like they are some awesome kids. I wonder how this going to affect their draft stock?
Quote:
It isn't quite a failed drug test or a bad Wonderlic on the scale of things that could make one's draft stock plummet, but the reports that there was a trashed hotel room belonging to two players at the scouting combine now have two names attached to them: Clemson receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and Rutgers receiver Mark Harrison. The players' names were revealed by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
One NFL general manager told FOX Sports' Alex Marvez that Hopkins claims to have checked out of the room hours before the incident happened. Hopkins subsequently said the same thing on his Twitter account.
Dan Pompei of the National Football Post was the first to report the damage, and that one of the players involved refused to make himself available to discuss it during his pro day. According to a recent Y! Sports report, most of the damage was done in the bathroom, where urine and feces were strewn around the room, and toothpaste was left on the mirror. In addition, according to National Football Scouting president Jeff Foster, who runs the scouting combine, there was trash all over the hotel room.
"I can confirm that a room was left in an inappropriate condition and we're disappointed by both players who occupied the room," Foster told Y! Sports' Jason Cole. "There was no material damage to the room; otherwise we would be pursuing further action and really be trying to get to the bottom of the situation. It's just very disappointing, and the people we feel the worst for are the people at the Crowne Plaza who had to clean it up."
Foster also said that more than 10 teams called him after the incident was reported to follow up. What this does to the draft stocks of Hopkins and Harrison is open to conjecture, but it certainly doesn't help.

Tyrann, when teams have concerns about your maturity and character issues, probably not the best idea to go with this one:
Quote:
Mathieu tweeted out an invitation/flier for his draft party in New York Thursday night, which reads: “For 1st round draft pick Tyrann Mathieu, AKA Honey Badger of LSU.”
|
And as you might imagine, he said his account was hacked. Flier has been deleted.

I half expect the Broncos to trade out of the first round.

There are some rumbles that if the right player fell, the 49ers will cash in some of their draft picks to move up.

Hoping for Fisher or Milliner at 5.
Ansah sounds way too risky and not nearly the need as CB or OL.

Chiefs are apparently leaning towards Fisher now. Milliner will almost certainly be there at 5, some injury concerns about him.

This is one of my favorite days of the year. I can't see Fisher and Joeckel dropping to the Eagles, but maybe they go DL, grab Lane Johnson or trade down a couple of spots.

Browns Rumors:
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde...aft_201_2.html
On the eve of the NFL draft, the Browns' chances of staying at No. 6 and selecting a player were about 60 percent, a league source said. But a report surfaced that the Browns might trade up to No. 3 with the Raiders to take Brigham Young pass rusher Ziggy Ansah.
The Browns are also considering giving up a mid-round pick for Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess, who's on the trading block. A source confirmed for The Plain Dealer a report by Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times that the Browns are seriously interested in picking up Bess. If the Browns move up to No. 3 and also trade for Bess, it could make for a quiet remainder of the draft, which is Thursday through Saturday.
The Browns are also believed to be enamored with Oregon pass-rusher Dion Jordan, who's built like a small forward and would be an explosive edge-rusher to pair with Paul Kruger. If the Browns land a rusher such as Ansah or Jordan, they might try to trade Jabaal Sheard, who's trying to make the transition from left end to right outside linebacker.
In the event the Browns stay at No. 6 and both Ansah and Jordan are gone, they might try to trade the pick. One teams believed to be interested in moving up is San Diego at No. 11. The Chargers might be after Oklahoma offensive tackle Lane Johnson and be willing to deal to get him. In that scenario, one possibility for the Browns would be LSU defensive end/linebacker Barkevious Mingo, who visited the club earlier this month and got a great vibe from defensive line coach Joe Cullen.
Plenty of draft observers have the Browns taking Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner, and that apparently remains a possibility. But CEO Joe Banner would seem to prefer one of the premier positions: a quarterback, offensive lineman or pass-rusher.
QB possibilities:
Geno Smith
E.J. Manuel

Saints sit at 15, I have a feeling they'll find a way to move up if they see a quality DL/OLB that may be attainable.
They don't have a 2nd rounder, which may force them to sacrifice next year's 1st rounder. Should be fun tonight!
I know Barkevious Mingo and Tyrann Mathieu get all of the publicity regarding LSU players, but I think whoever gets Sam Montgomery and Kevin Minter will be very happy.

I've heard some rumors floating around that the Jets may be looking to move down with one of their first round picks to pick up some more draft picks

I'm hoping for Tank Carradine, Xavier Rhodes, or DJ Hayden for the Colts in the first round

I don't think he is worth a Top 10 pick, the Browns just drafted a QB in the 1st round last year(even if he is old garbage), and they have greater needs.
Next year should have a better QB class, suck this year and draft one there.

I would assume it has to do with a combo of him not being worth drafting that high and would only do so because he is supposedly the best QB in a weak class and the fact that they would have wasted (if they already didn't) a first round pick last year on a QB that could have addressed one of their many needs.
Having listened to Lombardi on the BS Report the last couple of years I can't think that they will take Smith, but who knows with QB teams reach all the time.

Historically, is there a pro-bowl caliber QB taken every draft? How often are Hall of Fame QBs drafted?
There must be a great QB in this draft, but who knows who it will be?
Judging from this, there is not always a great QB in every draft. It is very rare for a later round pick to turn out, like Tom Brady.

Starting to look like Fisher is for sure going to be the #1 pick. McShay & Mel Kiper Jr. are both changing their mocks to that and Jay Glazer was tweeting about it earlier

Mayock also had Fisher going at the top. Talk about a bad time to pick at the top of the draft....The Chiefs are going to end up trading Bradon Albert and replacing him with a guy who might be a slight upgrade, than hope to use what they get from Albert to fill out the vacant right tackle spot they have. Meanwhile they gave away a pick in a really nice spot to get Alex Smith because they were that bad at QB.
Essentially the team finished dead last....likely won't improve itself in the draft unless they hit on 3rd/4th round picks. That sucks.
