Some here won't like him because he's small but I'd make an exception for the son of Tie.

I'd be ecstatic to draft Max. He has so many qualities I like in a hockey player. He's super competitive, creative and strong on the puck. I also like the fact he has top line upside.

I'm not at all concerned about his size. He's short, but he is very stout. If he doesn't reach his potential, I could still see him being an effective 3rd liner with some offense. Although, I would be surprised if he was not at the very least a 2nd liner in the NHL

I don't see him as a center on the NHL stage however.

#14 is a power forward who scored 50 goals in the QMJHL this year.

Sounds a little like Theo! Has there been any comparisons to him?

Domi sure looks interesting. Saw some of his highlights...wow. One of the more impressive highlight videos I've seen so far. My only issues with him is that he seems a bit too cocky for me. Him celebrating an empty netter the way he did here is just shows us a little bit of his character:

I honestly don't know fully what to feel about him. I'd rather have Lindholm or Monahan though (as would everyone else).

Interesting that they ranked Nurse ahead of Monahan. Maybe I'm under rating Nurse. Honestly don't know much about him. Watched Monahan a handful of times and came away really impressed

I hope someone takes Nicushkin, than we'll have a choice of 2 of Nurse, Monahan, or Lindholm. Any of these three are okay.

By agitator, Domi is more a chirper, and someone who gets to the middle of scrums.

He doesn't throw his body around with reckless abandon on the forecheck like Theo used to do.

According to the article he has been diagnose with diabetes. Forgive my ignorance, but could this affect his NHL career?

It could but Bobby Clarke handled it well.

Cory Conacher has diabetes as well, and it doesn't seem to hold him back.

With what we know about nutrition, and with things like insulin pumps, it really shouldn't effect him in 2013.

He'll need to be vigilant about the foods he eats, and what beverages he drinks, but other than that, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Note: My mom has had diabetes since shortly after I was born, so I've seen the changes in the treatment of the disease over the last 30 years first hand.

Super excited about this draft. So much talent later in to the 1st round, we should be able to walk away with 2 really top notch players.

Ideally we could walk away with a 1st line C, a #1 D and a top 6 winger if we hit our picks. The way the Flames have invested in the drafting tools, and the importance they have placed on BPA and going over the list over and over and over making sure they have it right, has me thinking we might have one of the best drafts we have ever had.

Really hoping for Lindholm or Monahan and Morrisey.

I'm not sure we can get a #1 D at 18th. The D available at 18th look like excellent #3 on depth charts at their ceiling.

Hopefully the 1st round gores down a little like this if the Flames pick ends up being seventh.

Lindholm or Monahan
Zykov or Nichushkin (Unlikley to be there but if he does fall) or Wennberg
Mueller or Hartman
