Its going to happen, the dad stated that the son spend 6 months there but spent all his time sleeping in 2011, which was when the FIS contacted the Amercans about him.

I'm sure that this trial is going to bring up a gongshow of conspiracy theories and civil liberty types railing against the system.

I doubt though that we see this going to trial for years.

How so? The sheer volume of direct evidence against the guy is huge. Its a slam dunk case, I'd imagine he'll plead to avoid death penalty possibility.

Maybe, I'm not a lawyer, but I would expect that once the Public Defender supplies a lawyer, the civil rights legal groups get involved, a billion pretrial motions will be fired off, including change of venders, suppression of evidence, the usual delays due to schedules.

I doubt we see this mug in front of a jury before 2015.

Mom is so ####ing crazy I'm actually starting to think she's involved

Quote:
The mother, ZubeidatTsarnaeva, described Tamerlan as "a person of strong will," a "leader" who could influence people.

Tamerlan's influence was perhaps felt most by his younger brother Dzhokhar.

"They loved each other. What Tamerlan was said was law for Dzhokhar. That's how I raised them. What the elder brother says, the younger brother has to do. That is according to Islam," the mother told ABC News in a phone call today.

"We were all very connected. My boys were very close to me, and especially Tamerlan," she said.

She and Tamerlan spoke almost daily, and when they both lived in the United States he would visit every weekend. The last time they spoke it was during the suspects' tense standoff with police, during which Tamerlan was killed and his younger brother Dzhokhar was badly wounded, but captured alive.

Tamerlan told her what was happening and as she began to cry and scream the line went dead. She frantically searched for the television remote control. Sometime later, her daughter called to say Tamerlan had been killed.

Tsarnaeva refused to believe her sons could have committed acts of terror. She accused the U.S. government of framing the brothers because they were afraid of Tamerlan.

"They wanted to eliminate Tamerlan and Dzhokhar was just nearby because he was driving him to the university," she said. She also denied that they owned or possessed any guns.

The mother also seemed to endorse conspiracy theories that the U.S. government was behind the September 11, 2001 attacks, suggesting the same people killed her sons.

"He was a good candidate to get rid of," she said.

Sure there is, you can start with sitting in the waiting room for hours on end with a child in severe pain because he broke his hand and having it cost you $10,000.

She's doing what a lot of mothers do. Denying for her kids and then covering for them.

In the face of the evidence though she was either blissfully unaware of what her kids were up to, or she knew and either denied it or endorsed it.

the development over the weekend that they seized the daughters cellphones and computers is a fairly ominous development in terms of getting help from the outside.

I'm still shocked that the scumbag who left a daughter on this world was so willing to plant a bomb that killed someone elses kid.

The perpetrator of the attempted Times Sq bombing on May 1, 2010 was arrested on May 3rd, arraigned on May 18th and sentenced on October 5th. Now he plead guilty, so that sped things up, but it would be very surprising to see anything close to the types of delays you're talking about. His case isn't that unique.

I'm fascinated by Tamerlan's wife. She's a fairly attractive white girl from Rhode Island who converted to Islam for Tamerlan and has been seen wearing the traditional Muslim clothing this week. I don't see how she could not have noticed him making bombs, but whether or not she had any involvement, I'm sure she has a very interesting story if she's willing to tell it.

I've been hearing on the radio that a terrorist threat of similar magnitude has been thwarted in Ontario and Quebec.

This has to be my least favourite part of these things, the humanization of the suspect attempts by the media.
It's weird how people can be so heartless in one instance, like blowing up bombs in a crowd, but seemingly decent in another.

The two suspects let the guy they carjacked go instead of killing him. Kind of odd after showing no mercy anywhere else.

A man who claims to have been carjacked by the men authorities suspect were responsible for the Boston bombings told authorities that the duo spared him because he "wasn't American," according to NBC News.

Hmmm....

Quote:
In the wake of the revelations about the violent nature of accused marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, investigators in the Boston suburbs tell ABC News they are probing whether he may have been involved in an unsolved grisly triple homicide of a former roommate and two others. The murders took place around the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

"We are looking at a possible connection with the suspect in the marathon atrocity and this active and open homicide in Waltham,'' Stephanie Guyotte, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County District Attorney, confirmed to ABC News.

Tsarnaev, the alleged bombing mastermind who died in a fierce gun battle with police early Friday morning, had been training with one of the 2011 murder victims in an attempt to transition from boxing into a possible career in the brutal sport of mixed-martial arts.

The victims were found in a Waltham, Massachusetts apartment. They had their throat slashed, their heads nearly decapitated. Their mutilated bodies were left covered with marijuana.

It was a gruesome scene – but also perplexing to law enforcement. While drugs appeared to factor into the motive, the murderer left both the marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash behind in the Waltham apartment. While the investigation has been active for more than a year, authorities acknowledged they have had few leads.

Two law enforcement sources told ABC News that may now change, with the bomb attack prompting a fresh look into Tsarnaev's alleged penchant for violence.

As to the wife, I'm pretty sure like many converted religious people she was likely deeply manipulated.

I believe that effectively ends the hold him as an enemy combatant argument.

They should have hired Dennis Franz to read him his rights.
