Big win by the Sens to extend the series. Selanne is gone, likely, for the season.

Some surprising results so far these playoffs that's for sure.
Nothing personal daradon, but I'm happy to see a new champ this season.

Well, I can honestly say that I did not see that coming. Awesome job with the series win.

PP were the story of this series. We had 39 PPs and scored on 8 of them. Really happy to beat a top notch team. Besides game 6, every other game was very close (even game 6 was tied 4-4 with less then 6 minutes to go).
Congrats on a great season Goffie ( I know how ya feel right now, but lets hope next year we don't meet in the 1st round). Thanks and good luck next year.

I anticipate we might see the resignation of the Penguins GM following another 1st round exit...

First game with reasonable powerplay chances for both team, with the away team getting one more than the home team and capitalizing on the extra chance. Solid 3rd period scoring 4 of the 5 goals.
Good series Pat, other than the first game it was a very close series that could of gone either way, good luck next year.

That's amongst the oddest things I've seen in the sim.

yea, that was the same as ours. Looks like being on the road was a major disadvantage this year.
Congrats to Detroit.

With the Habs falling in the first round and a Habs loaded Penguin team getting the shaft from the refs it makes me wonder if the sim creators swung the Montreal love pendulum the other way this year... [Slightly adjusts tinfoil hat]

Solid but costly win for the Sabres, the first game in this series won by more than one goal. Jason Pominville continues his all-world play, but despite 3 points and a fight he was not one of the 3 stars. Matthew Lombardi, with 2 more points, continues to play surprisingly well since his unexpected promotion to the 2nd line with Steen and Pominville. The news is not good however, on Steen who suffered a major injury. Sam Gagner also suffered a more minor injury in this game. It looks like Colby Armstrong will draw back in for game 7 on the Island.

Well, I don't think anyone predicted that. (Actually, I saw one person predict a Jets win, and it wasn't even Nicker!)
Not sure if our guys were over confident, or actually a little tired, but the run of championships is over.
I will finish the final POTM tonight and write up a season cap in the next day or two, along with a few personal thoughts from the perspective of a new GM.
Congratulations to Nickerjones and the Jets and the best of luck in the second round. I had a lot of fun playing the game this year and will be back with a vengeance for my first full year, next year. I've found you all to be a great group of guys and have had a few rivalries and friendships bud already.

That is F'D! Sorry about yours or the Pens terrible sim luck in this league, I can understand your frustration. Hope the CPHL doesn't lose you though, would be a major loss.

For the 2nd year in a row we go into a game 7 in RD1. Brodeur was stellar with a 40 save performance. Lundy, not so much. Ryan Jones was our star of the night with 2 points.
