Watched the Pens/Bruins game, Iggy is looking more comfortable and is finding the open spots. I know a dead horse....but Iginla thrives when he has a proper setup man.

Olli Jokinen with 48 seconds of ice time, still managed to get a minus. I thought he was just having a rough start but the stats seem to indicate that he's seriously over the hill.

On the other hand, waiver reject Jussi Jokinen with a three point night.

Haven't watched him at all this season. Just noticed that he's 7+7 and -19. Quite a difference from last year.

Is there any way to watch the Capitals/Canadiens game here in Alberta?

Phoenix @ Chicago - 6:30 PM--on WGN available in SD and HD.

I'm hoping for wins from Ottawa, Detroit, New York, Carolina and Phoenix. Too bad CBC doesn't have the Jets and Isles game as a matinee, I think it should be a good one with playoff implications for both teams.

I certainly agree with you Offside that the CBC should have planned on televising the Jets game.

For jhunt, unless you have CBC Montreal as part of your timeshift package, you will have to watch the Capitals-Habs game on RDS in french.

For american viewers, it is a tripleheader day on the NHL Network.
The Penguins-Bruins was the first game, the second game is the Leafs-Senators, and will conclude with the Red Wings-Canucks game.

The Capitals-Canadiens game is on NBCSN.

The WGN channel is showing tonight's Blackhawks game and next Saturday's game too.

In the post game for the Pitts/Boston game:

Quote:
Boston fans booed Iginla every time he touched the puck.

"No, I wasn't surprised," he said. "It's a great sports city, and at the time I was very humbled that I had an opportunity to go to both teams, both teams were interested in me. I made the choice to come to [Pittsburgh], I'm thrilled with that. But I have a lot respect for the city here, I hear great things from the guys that play here, I have some friends on that team. I hear great things from the city, the organization.

"I expected that (the booing), and it's not too bad when it's on the road. When it's on the road, you can live with that. At home, when you're getting booed like that, it's hard to take."
Interesting comments from our former captain...

The Capitals lead 2-0. Ovechkin with the first goal, a minute later Brouwer scores.

Totally. I just didn't realise our fans had been booing him. It's been a couple of seasons since I've been back in Calgary for a game.

Prust is a real gem. Should never have traded him, especially the second time.

Yeah the Saddledome has historically reacted negatively to bad periods, but we've never booed specific players at least.
