I think I would like it better if the word "American" stood out more.

Dark grey on Light grey just... doesn't appeal to me.

Speaking of livery, what is everyones favorite? I have always loved classic Delta. Just looks right.

Agreed, but I believe the main reason for eliminating the polished aluminum is the fact that more and more of new aircraft have the composites. Which you can't polish up. When AA was flying the A300 they had a grey paint scheme applied on the fuselage in lieu of aluminum.

Classic Delta is sweet, but I have to give my vote (and not just because I'm Canadian) to the Canadian Proud Wings livery:

Tristars ruled. Pity the RAF has replaced them with A330's, now we don't get them in YYC anymore.

I always preferred the look to DC-10's/MD-11's. Love the s-duct design on the tail. I have no idea if they flew any better or worse, but they are such an awesome looking airplane.

I was going to post this too!

Maho beach is on my bucket list, probably in a few years.

This rare angle of the beach showed up on airliners.net yesterday:

St. Maarten must have had good tourism pre-YouTube, but man it's probably exploded since YouTube found this beach.

Just out of curiosity would there be problems if someone booted a soccer ball high enough to get sucked in by the turbofan on landing approach?

Your only problem would be finding a lawyer to defend you in court.

If you got the lucky shot that actually hit an intake the fan would chew that ball up and spot it out and the pilot probably wouldn't even know it happened. You might tweak a blade so the airline would not be happy.
